Subject: Cyanide
A nice, calm and respectable lady went into the Pharmacy, walked up to the Pharmacist, looked straight into his eyes, and said,
"I'd like to buy some cyanide."
The Pharmacist asked, "Why in the world do you need cyanide?"
The lady replied, "I need it to poison my husband."
The Pharmacist's eyes got big and he explained, "I can't give you cyanide to kill your husband, that's against the law! I'll lose my licence! They'll throw both of us in jail!
All kinds of bad things will happen. Absolutely not! You CANNOT have any cyanide!"
The lady reached into her purse and pulled out a picture of her
husband in bed with the Pharmacist's wife.
The Pharmacist looked at the picture and said, "You didn't tell me you had a prescription."

two quick questions
1. Is the £5 dettol coupon only for use in Asda?
2. For DTD, anyone been asked why they did not query the price when paying for the goods? I have only had a few small DTD's and been asked that question both each time. But, with the likes of the Denby - which was a big DTD - you can't exactly say I didn't notice !
Denby, did someone say Denby....My name is FK and I'm the largest wholesaler of Denby in the midlands!
Yeah been asked the question. Shrugged shoulders, was chatting on phone...talking to SA.....just didn't notice. You don't have to explain yourself anyway.0 -

Afternoon, thankyou for all the birthday messages..have only just had a chance to get on here..had a lovely day, went to t's this morning to pick up our clothing order.... in true tescos style nothing went to plan and the guy couldnt find one of our orders... might of helped if he looked for the right name... anyway he got there in the end after 2nd visit to the warehouse lol. Someone was at CS complaining about something he had brought (looked like food packaging) containing a foreign object in it...niceeee
I also saw about 5 receipts to womble at SS checkouts... but just couldn't do it, was so busy and there was a member of staff watching over me the whole time
Went to the dentist, got completley mugged off.. told I would need a 1/2 hour appt which would cost £95... went in 15 minutes late and it only took 15minutes (was watching sky news in the chair, so I know it was deff only 15mins!), so was overcharged:eek:, so not too happy... but hey, my tooths fixed.. Doubt I will go back there again.
Poor woman before me took so long as the anasthetic wasn't taking any effect, she had 4 lots which she said is enough to knock out a horse, so don't know how she was still feeling pain... horrible! Glad I didnt have to have an injection!
Went to my parents after, really pleased with all my tesco clothes, got lots of lovely presents so I am really happy.:)
Been for a nice walk and the sun is shining so all in all a perfect day... Will catch up properly later. Hugs to those that need them. x
P.S. glad to see you quit tesco, Helen, they look as if they are a joke of a company to work for!0 -

I'm guessing that those of you who have IE8 have auto updates on?
Something I was told long ago was never to download Windows updates as they really slowed down the machine. I never downloaded a single update on any of my Windows laptops but I always made sure that I had a good Security/Antivirus/Firewall installed.0 -
Well I have to say that was a pleasant way to spend an hour. sat in Tesco's car park with the door swung open in the car, T-shirt on, scoffing whoopsied southern fried chicken (late lunch) and talking to you 'orrible lot.
Nothing much to report though, so unless anyone really needs me to don the purple tights and do my Angela Rippon bit, I'm gonna sign off quietly.0 -
