They usually try to wheedle out of giving DTD and generally have to be reminded that it is in fact their own policy and all you are asking is that they abide by it.
When you do manage to get DTD, how often is it given with an apology for your having been over-charged in the first place? I have received DTD on many occasions but can only recall once when the member of staff handed over the wedge with an apology for the initial error. Most of the time the refund is grudgingly handed over with hardly a word spoken - not what I call service.
They are so silly - the DTD policy is generous but they spoil the whole potential 'feel good' element of it by being so rude when applying it.
I'm lucky being a man (I hope I've guessed rigth at you being female) as I feel lady CS people tend to be nicer to men who 'chat them up' and are nice.
I reckon I get a smile and an apology at least half of the time.
Perhaps I should get a breast pump and dig out the purple tights and do a comparison..........................nah, scratch that idea! :rotfl::rotfl:0 -

two quick questions
1. Is the £5 dettol coupon only for use in Asda?
2. For DTD, anyone been asked why they did not query the price when paying for the goods? I have only had a few small DTD's and been asked that question both each time. But, with the likes of the Denby - which was a big DTD - you can't exactly say I didn't notice !
I never let them ask. I always 'explain' why I never noticed. Last night I told them I got distracted by a phone call (true) and that I forgot to use my 4 x £1 off coupons on the batteries and it was only whilst standing in the queue at CS did I notice that the 'BOGOF' hadn't gone through.:beer:0 -

I was almost thankful as I'd have felt a right !!!!!! going through the checkout with one of those. I suppose if asked I could have blagged it and said I was trialling it to see if it firmed up my man boobs! :rotfl:
