I've just this minute left my local Extra and whilst I was at SS there was a staff announcement over the tannoy that went something like this...
"could all staff members participating in womble please report to the goal posts.":eek:0 -
Am so envious of everyone's WHS bargain gift cards!
Won't be able to go until thursday and very much doubt it will still be on then!
Is there an expiry date on the cards?
TIA
They are valid for 2 years. Hope its still on for you on Thurs!
Erm I'm not sure if I've got the hang of this money saving.....I seem to be spending more money buying 'bargains' that I don't really need - oops!!0 -
Tried a WHSmith in a shopping centre and was told that you can't buy a gc with a gc and had to tell THEM that i could before they would allow it :rotfl:then after getting to £20+ in vouchers an old trout started to say to the girl serving my OH that she can't keep doing that, waited for about 10mins for them to check it out and then was told to come back in the afternoon (stuff that) left and went to a store in town and tried again, what a differrence tried a few at first and worked fine with a young guy but as it was busy stopped till lunch was over and returned and just got a bundle of FF cards (£1.75) and the OH spent the time we had at the till with the same SA and got a system going ended up with £100 of gcs and could have got more but had to be back for the kids
Many thanks to the OP who posted this i just hope it is still working tomorrow :beer:0 -
Could someone please thank one of my friends and family tips as its my last one
My initials are C.I. and one of my tips was to tell family and friends if you found a bargain and hopefully they would do the same for you. You might have to trawl down fair a bit as I did most of them over a week ago.
CI? How long ago did you do them, Ive done a search for F&F tips going back over 1 hour and can't find you! Would be happy to help if I could! Have to go on the school run now, but PM me if I can help, and I will have another try later!0 -

Just had one heck of a shock / surprise
There I was watching my fish batter turn into a rich golden colour when there was a ' coppers knock ' on the door ...I left the servants quarters and answered the door to a guy holding a rather large box for me .
I hadn't ordered anything recently so wondered if it was that dastardly clever Fran Cotton from Cotton Traders sending out my sheepskin jacket I had removed from my basket to earn my 6 nations watch .
I scanned the box for any refernce to CT's ...nothing , phew .
Upon opening and delving deep into the mystery box I was surprised  and delighted at what my eyes saw .
Only 2 people spring to mind to who could have sent this out to me .
My many many thanks go out to Mr Happy Chappy and his Sis Westvleteren.
A kind and generous gift that will live on in my memory for a heck of a lot longer than the beer will remain in the bottle .
Cheers and Good Health .
:rotfl::rotfl:
I'm glad they got there in piece 4p. Enjoy.:beer:0 -

Feeling even worse that there are so many people going through such an awful time on this thread that are just coping and getting on with it, and I am just moaning for no reason
Everyone suffers sad times and moments when you feel very down. You're certainly not alone on this thread!
This is the perfect place to come because everyone's so friendly and hopefully it won't be long before a nice juicy glitch will cheer you up!"Buy me, Lady", said the frock, "and I will make you into a BEAUTIFUL & WHOLE & COMPLETE human being"."Do not be silly", said the Man, "for a frock alone cannot do that"."True", said the Lady, "I will have the shoes and the bag as well".:rotfl:0 -
After reading of people being trouted, I don't know if I dare post what I got in WHS today
If I just say that I now have 49 greetings cards, which were all £1.99 you'll have to ask Caz if she can work it out for you
I must say that the Sales assistants were lovely.....even though I don't think they realised at first just how many times I would be up at the till!!
After I'd done (there were whispers of running out of gift cards) I popped into the bakery next door and bought them a nice cream cake each to have in their tea break.
I've loved this money making glitch....first "proper" one I've ever had after missing out on the OEP
Thanks so much to the OP :T:T:T:T
Approx £160 on gift cards, 49 * £1.99 cards and a £12 outlay.
Give or take a few pennies! So 10 full gift cards and one with around £10 on it.
How did I do?0 -

I tried to get DTD then and was annoyed that the offer had been extended when I thought I had found a goodie.
Now, the offer has expired but in many branches the old BOGOF signs are shown somewhere and thanks to Sponge Bob Merry PantsI knew it would work this time.
They do make it hard for the staff - in the branch I went to they must have had Duracell in about 10 different places apart from the main rack near the till. Lots of smaller racks in electrical and the toy department which is where I found one.
too long winded, just merry or mmw will dolife is like a loo roll. the nearer the end you get, the faster it goes.0
