If I wasnt so thick and bad at maths I would give the whsmith deal a go....I have sat here for ages with a pen and paper (and my brain lol) trying to figure it out... and I just can't- even with the detailed explanation given on the actual thread...how embarassing lol:rotfl: well done to the lady who found it tho and all those taking advantage :T

Hi freddiesmum it really is easier than you think I'll try to explain.

    1. Buy greeting card approx. £2.50 & purchase a £15 gift card on special offer for £10 so total one off payment of £12.50

    2. Repeat transaction but pay with the gift card just purchased which will leave a balance of £2.50 & gift card of £15 total now £17.50:D:D

    3. Repeat transaction but pay with balance of £2.50 & part of the £15 which will now leave a balance of £5 + new £15 gift card total now £20.

And so on the more cards you buy the better. You have to purchase 1 card & 1 gift card each time & use balance of previously bought gift card. Each transaction should give you approx £2.50 more in gift card value. HTH

It worked perfect for me so give it a go you'll be so happy you did. The SA was very happy to do it & would be trying it herself. Going to different store tomorrow to try it again:j:j:j:j:j:j

Please tell me that was K or C :D

God I'll never forget going to my local one evening when the travelator was out of order. Having the kids in a trolley I had to use the lift which come out behind the security desk. Well my security bloke was obviously bored so guess what he was doing .......... using the carpark cameras to look into the houses across the road

I pretended I didn't see anything but secretly I was disturbed as I know a girl form years ago lives in one of those houses.

    It was K :D

This is a picture of my "little" stash from WHSmith's this afternoon, i ended up with £90 in giftcards and with 28 assorted greetings cards, all for an initial outlay of £12.70.

I worked out the value of my greetings cards to be £68 so all in all a brilliant grab-it, another big "THANK YOU" to the original OP :T:T:T

  • Evening to you all. I'm so impressed with the maths going on - I just wouldn't be able to work these things out without all the help here. Just back from Ts with another haul of SSM products. If you go onto the SSM website there is a link to Proctor and Gamble to win Olympic Tickets - you need your receipts. So, I split my shopping into three baskets so I could enter three times. No problem for the lovely SA who asked which tickets I was hoping to win! Also got the oral B replacement brushes for elec t/brush - hope it price checks. Got home to find one of my 'Wimbledon Tickets' on my other email a/c has come back saying something along the lines of 'we can't find this receipt, please repost'. Have T recognised a Womble d'you think? (Still not caught up so hope I haven't just repeated things!)

As you've said but when you get to transaction 7 or there abouts (depending on the cost of the cards) you should come away with 2 £15 gift cards intact.

As others have said, best to test it with a couple of cards first, dip your toe in the water so to speak, then if the SA seems non-trouty, grab more cards but be prepared to let others jump the queue ahead of you so you're not holding everything up.
