Zippy if you put your postcode in here it tells you all the WH Smiths stores and when you click on the one you are going to it tells you if they accept giftcards, which is what you need it to do;)Thanks to FK for giving the info:)

Evening all, been to ts today and was followed by guard everywhere then noticed that I picked something up put it back and the guard did the same then turned around and 2 staff were standing there I asked why I'm being followed and they said they don't need to tell me, I was made to feel like I was a shop lifter or something. Has this happened to anybody else? If so what do I do? Iv never had this happen before

I had this happen a few months ago, just after I tried to get a refund using a duplicate reciept at my local extra.
I'd went in the next night to do my normal shopping and noticed the security guard following me and picking up the same items I did.
I decided that I'd had enough so purposely wandered round in circles putting lots of stuff in my trolley then picking up items, pretending to look closely at SELs and putting them back again, watching security guard do the same so I then turned round after 20 mins and asked him was he fed up following me and should we just swap round and I'd follow him for a while :rotfl: the look on his face made me :rotfl: He tried to say he wasn't following me, I just said he was and told him everything that he'd picked up, I said that if he needed something to do he could put the stuff from my trolley away again and I walked out the doors :D

Well ....I went out to try the WHsmiths thing......signs on all card displays so i found a card and went to till, bought card plus £15 giftcard fro £11.99.

SA was lovely and I told her I was going to be a pain and buy more and use the giftcards....she said go for it! So I wasted 30 mins choosing cards (all less than £2!) and went back to till.....the giftcard would not work, SA said it might not activiate until tomorrow and the message on the screen said 'not valid today'

Has anyone else had this happen?

How rude of me.....evening all ..........hugs to all xxxxxxx off to catch up xxxxx

Spiralingdown and Nikilala, sorry you had to go through similar things xxx
Glad you got your way though, so wrong it had to be fought for though.
I am of mixed feelings at the moment, I am not sure if I want the burial certificate issued tomorrow as at least then I know they are being thorough and there won't be the risk of the inquest going ahead and then deciding he may need to be exhumed for a second post mortem. I know that's not very likely but I worry.
I just want to know either way and I want justice done for my grandad and for the others at that god awful hospital :(

QPR10 {{{{hugs}}}} I think that kind of dream just sets you up for a bad day, all I've thought about is how real it was.

    Sir Frequent...... :)

Oh magic :( hugs. I know what you mean, the part about getting justice for your grandad, really struck a cord(sp?) with me.
I got very poorly when I contracted bacterial meningitis in '09 2 days post birth, I ended up in ITU before being moved to a private room incase i was contagious, and on the ward with the private room there was a poor old man, must have been in his 70's or 80's and he was out of it, completley mad poor old man, they had him tied to a wheelchair naked because he wouldnt keep his clothes on or sit still.. he was a nightmare to deal with but this was not the way to treat any person, let alone a poor vunerable old man.
The nurses on the ward were so so so horrible, ignored me when I wanted pain relief or needed to see a doctor (after having a lumbar puncture and havent tinglings in my back and feeling like I had fluid coming out) anyway, my parents and boyfriend were so scared to leave me alone on this ward at night so would stay with me until I fell asleep, and promised they would be there the minute I woke up. They didnt trust the nurses to take care of me, and twice they od'd me on pain relief, 'forgot' to bring me my meals (or arrange someone to bring them), they didnt want my baby on the ward etc. I can only imagine how the poor old man felt being there on his own, with no family, being so so confused and vunerable:(:(:(.. luckily my community midwife got me moved to my own room in the postnatal ward and I got out of hospital after 10days iv anti b's , but i promised I would complain to get justice for everyone on that awful, awful ward that were left to rot and die by the most awful horrific, horrible nurses. You couldnt even call them nurses. They didnt want to help, they had no compassion, or empathy. They were just awful. I complained and complained about my whole experience and got nowhere, in the end I just gave up, I could have spent years fighting for how I was treated, and how some of the most vunerable people on that ward were treated, but I just came to the conclusion that life is too short. I had trouble bonding with DS and that had to take priority over everyone and everything else. I still feel awful for letting them get away with it, but the NHS and hospitals are very good at covering up and getting away with these things and it is happening everywhere.:( I hope your grandads experience wasn't this bad but I hope you get the result you want. hugs x

Please tell me that was K or C :D

God I'll never forget going to my local one evening when the travelator was out of order. Having the kids in a trolley I had to use the lift which come out behind the security desk. Well my security bloke was obviously bored so guess what he was doing .......... using the carpark cameras to look into the houses across the road

I pretended I didn't see anything but secretly I was disturbed as I know a girl form years ago lives in one of those houses.
