Thanks, Happy. When I tried the back up, it said that it hadn't finished the last time (?). All it restored were the apps and some of the latest contacts/calender but no photos at all. The restore before that was - iphone March 2011 (not sure why it named it that) so I tried that one and got back photos/texts to March last year. I looked on the Apple site and it said go to AppData\roaming\Apple etc. as all back ups are stored there. I put that in 'search my computer' but there was nothing there. Feel like I've wasted another half a day

Have yet to catch up prior to this page but noticed that you are off to Holland shortly. Have you tried Nasi rolls (croquettes)? Absolutely love them. :)

Sorry, just seen your post. No it wasn't backed up on iCloud but think that I will in future.

Added to my problem is the fact that my lappie crashed and I had to restore that as well.:o:o I did this (eventually) from the system image that I had backed up on a portable HDD. As I said, I'm not a techie or as my OH says 'you seem to spend all (?) your time backing up and restoring and it still not working':eek: He said he doesn't mean it rudely.:):)
