  • Mr Lala has just informed me that he's getting his sweetpea airwick things from display boxes, like the ones they put at the end of the aisles, not off the shelves. He now thinks he's really clever because he's in T's with no scanner so is asking the pharmacist to price check stuff for him, bless him;)He refuses point blank to pull the "I've forgotten my wallet" stunt:rotfl:

^^ This. I knew the marriage was down the pan before DS2 was conceived but I carried on as if things would fix themselves. It was only DS2 being admitted to hospital when he was 2 days old, watching him being taken away for a lumbar puncture, seeing him with a canula in his hand and wires monitoring him that shook me. I thought I was going to lose him and ended up collapsing on the ward and spending the night in A&E on my own. I couldn't see DS for another 2 days due to the diagnosis of gastroenteritis & exhaustion and during that time the clouds started lifting and I could see what was happening in life.

It took another few weeks before it came to a head but before DS2 was even 3 months old, the marriage was kaput. That poor wee boy will never know what it's like to be in a family and in a round about way he is the reason the marriage is over but he's a good reason.

The lady I met recently (the mum of a girl I worked with years ago) asked me why I didn't tell my parents teh same way her daughter said nothing. I said I buried my head in the sand and just accepted that what was happening was normal. It took the shock of DS2 to make me see sense but for months my parents had no idea. They saw a couple who laughed, had fun and looked happy. Behind closed doors however we barely spoke, never went anywhere and basically lived as friends with no benefits.

I'm lost for words  Just muttering out loud but how could he take you out for a meal then tell you that he's been plotting his escape for a while and only now telling you that there's a problem. I'm so sorry hon - that's *bleeping* nasty

There's a HUGE difference between being lonely and being alone.

The the worst thing ever is being lonely in a couple/crowd. Being alone isn't that bad at all ... xxx

Probably store specific as think it is left over Christmas stock, but worth looking out for - 1kg Quality Street tins. Huge stack on entering store SEL £2.50 per tin - scan £5. Sadly only picked up 2 as quite bulky to carry.

Wool, I am trying to keep a straight face as my boss is sat directly opposite me but your story nearly gave the game away for me (being on MSE), how funny. I did a laugh/snort and tried covering it up with a cough. Going back there tonight then?! he he

On another note, I wombled last night, will let you know if I get anything back. someone bought x12 monster drinks @ £1 each.

I'm also expecting a JTD on the following:
    Radox hand wash x 4 T= £1.88 each (so £7.52) but A selling 4 for £3. So hoping for £4.52 back.

Got Dettol sprays for 50p, Persil tablet gels for £2 and Pledge polish for £1.32 so 32p back on that. Every little helps :-)

Think i went too early to my T (730pm) as roses were £5 for a dozen so no massive bargains to be had.
    x
Is anyone else having trouble getting the vouchers to scan or is it my printer?(or my voucher source;))
    Awaiting a new sig
