How long ago is it since you went?

Our guide on the boat trip told us that further up river a dam had been created for Hydro Electricity and the result of that meant another water fall 10 times more spectacular than Iguassu had been flooded and lost forever. :([/QUOTE

Will take you up on your offer - thanks.
We went in 2001. It was a 'bargain' that I got. OH wanted to go but book price (with some tours etc) was over £7k:eek::eek: which was too expensive. I phoned the company at the beginning of the year but they wouldn't budge on the price. A few weeks later, they had a promotion with the local TA's. They offered 10% discount.:( I phoned the company direct and was offered 15% discount. Said no, not good enough. (OH saying in the background that's over £1k off - take it!) Told him that it was just too much. Over the next couple of months, he made 'comments' about how I should have booked it.

During the May BH weekend, they had a sale on (bookings obviously slow). I phoned them again and was offered it for £5.1k. Said no. (OH shaking his head in disbelief - thinking I was 'crackers' - polite version). Was asked how much I wanted to pay. I told her £2.5k and she said 'well, we are not too far apart, you can have it for £5K. No, I replied, I mean £2.5k for both of us. (OH now totally embarrassed, saying you can't say that). She asked if I was serious and I said Yes. (Had nothing to loose;)). She then asked if we agreed a price, would I be booking it that weekend and I said yes. She took my number and an hour later phoned back and offered it for £2,300 for both of us. :T I accepted and then she added extras in for free (tours/another stopover/extra meals+wine etc.):j:j

OH was totally gobsmacked. He thought that you couldn't 'barter' like that. I thought they can only say no but obviously holidays weren't selling either. :)

    Brilliant holiday.

    Wow, great deal!

Happy, altho' I read it last night, I have only just responded. I haven't saved them yet so will obviously not now. Have to say you made someone very happy (no pun intended!) last night. Someone came round who came back from Egypt last week and due to circumstances out of her control had to forgo the Sphynx/Pyramids visit. She was very impressed with your pictures especially the Sphynx ones. Many thanks for sharing.

    :beer:Thanks for understanding.

that was me HC, and no, not recieved anything apart from a confirmation email ;)

The site says out of stock but I wouldn't mind a couple if they ever get them back in.
  • We went in the winter everything was white so could have looked a lot different from your photos. I don't remember much from that trip :( Did you go to the Blue Lagoon? The only thing I really remember was a mighty argument with HC when we eventually got back to Glasgow.

Yeah, there was free accommodation, food and drinks, breakfast and train travel home courtesy of Icelandair and sis refused to take the free food!! YOU DON'T SAY NO TO UNLIMITED FREE FOOD OR DRINK!!!!! EVER!!!!

I ate two meals to make up for her not having any!

I use T's ink cartridges with a wireless printer and never had any probs, it's a Kodak one. And 2nd dilema, you HAVE to go to T's today with so many OOD SEL opportunities! You might end up with more stuff for charity/community group!

Does everyone know that you can send old ink cartriges off to Mr T in a prepaid envelope and recieve 100 CC points for each one sent? You get an envelope inside each T's own box and they are also on the shelf under the cartridge display to take free of charge

I picked up some envelopes off the shelf but it says not to send Epson cartridges. :(

    Good morning MB. :)

    Afternoon Happy ;)
Handle every stressful situation like a dog.
If you can't eat it or play with it ....... just pee on it and walk away.
  • OK think my printer may be broken :(
Consoling myself with some warm woopsied mini doughnuts I got last night, don't want to have to buy a new printer but will get one if it's DTD :) so off to Ts to see if it's my printer or the ink cartridge that's broke and while I'm there see if theres any OOD printer SELs

Has the cartridge seated correctly? has the printer recognised the new cartridge and done the necessary set up?
