sorry I'm not posting atm(still lurking tho!:p) but there are so much poo in the real life right now I don't have time and don't feel like it
bf very unhappy in his new joband it looked so good
he is very close to giving up and quitting and I really can't see how we/he is going to cope with unemployment
I was out of work for 3 months BUT I had savings and he never had to pay a penny more then when I was/am working... It would be a whole different story with him out of work... I mean I can comfortable pay for everything but at this point I don't feel it's fair(especially with the other problems we have). Oh well, we'll see... I really hope he can get it to work and we don't have to worry about this anymore and can work on the other issues...
enough of the bad stuff now...
All is good in my job, I really enjoy looking after the little fellaand I can't wait till spring takes off so we can go for more lovely walks(calling at any T's on the way
)
I also want to start doing some more things on the weekends and maybe join a local gym/pool tooAm at a point where I need to stop trips to T being the highlight of my free time! :rotfl:
hugs to anyone who needs them :A
hope the lady with trouble over DTD/return and her job will manage to get it sorted...(I'd submit a job application at Asda just in case
)
Gosh... I really could do with winning the lottery and going for a nice break in the sun right now! :rotfl:
in the meanwhile off to catch up! :eek:freddiesmum09 wrote: »Had a really rubbish day and feel like cryingergh.

thanks for the reply sorry had to take toddler to mother and baby group!
when my partner paid , he used cash and no clubcard.
there was no problems in giving dtd apart from wanting his name , address.
im not married to him, havent got the same surname.
when a refund is givin , they dont scan the recepit just the box of the product.
i dont do alot of dtd and i wouldnt use my clubcard and whenever my cardcard has been used they have never taken my card number..
i took the phones back with the receipt but it was no problems, money refunded. how would they know i took then back?. cash was refunded back, and the recepit was thrown in the bin.
so it must be that someone has mention that im his partner, but really couldnt it just be any bob, !!!!!! or harry of the street doing it.
how can they prove that i told him about the phones??
my mum lives where i took it back to, but i want say that! got another recepit in my bag to prove i was up there that day aswell.
p.s the toy that i got i have keep for my little one.
i think ill just deny all knowledge off it, and if they sack me with no proof i will take them to small claims court.my bin.
oh well
dont know what else i can do but wait till friday now. may ask a friend to come so she can take notes . im going to deny it, they have got to prove it was me. and i just dont see how they can prove it. as i didnt buy it etc. and its not my job to change the sels on things, i didnt serve him either, i was at home with the kids.IMO you've had some very good advice on this thread and between now and Friday you should be seeking advice from those more knowledgeable and influential (e.g. unions).
Yes ... you need someone with you ... but a professional representative ... not just a friend (unless she has a legal background or is a union rep).
They'll need to do more than just "take notes" ... they need to know your rights as an employee make sure you're treated fairly.
To me this sounds very serious and could have many future implicitions (future employment and benefits if sacked (?))
Also I may be wrong but it also sounds something way and above the scope of a small claims court.
If I were you I'd be on the phone to USDAW/ACAS now.
Good luck.
Still haven't caught up fully as my internet went down again, so not sure whats been said after this, but I fully agree with dcon-blue, FK and many others that have offered you advice today.
What you ultimately choose to do about your meeting on friday is up to you, but I have been in a very similar situation.
If the meeting is informal, the you have no right to any representation. The fact that the letter sent to you has agreed that someone can be present, suggests that this is the first part of formal action against you.
I have attended meetings where I have not been allowed to be represented and the outcome has not been good.
Basically it really doesn't matter what notes you take or what your friend hears at the meeting as the minutes will be written either by an independant note taker of your managers choice or by your manager themselves.
If this matter proceeds further and ends in your dismissal, then you will have to attend a tribunal.
If this is the case and you do not have a proper representation present at all stages, then you will lose.
I say this not to scare you, but to make you face reality.
Your friend will not be able to represent you at any tribunal but someone like ACAS or a union representative will.
They will then be able to state your case properly based on them actually being at the meetings held.
If it is down to your word against your employers. Your employers will win.
I think maybe you underestimate common sense and fairness.
Just because you feel you haven't done anything wrong, it does not mean that you will win.
Your employer after all is a very large company, who will have been through this many times before and will have more than adequate legal representation.
This is definately not a case for a small claims court, by any stretch of the imagination.
If this leads to your dismissal, the only hearing you will be attending is a tribunal.
I am employed by a very large non-private business and am currently going through the process myself. My employers have acted illegally in respect of the equality act and are fully aware of this.
Despite this knowledge, they have openly admitted to me that they do not care if I win a tribunal and they have to pay me off (remember it is not your managers personal money at stake) so long as I am dismissed.
As I say, it is up to you what you decide to do, but remember with it being thursday tomorrow, your time is running out and if you intend to attend the meeting on friday and not request an adjournment, you will need to give them adequate notice if someone is going to attend with you.
The advice given to you today is good advice and if you do not wished to be dismissed, it is advice you should seriousley consider.A clinically depressed person with a sleep condition. I'm in my own little world, but it's ok the people like me here

Yes, same era:) Carol White(RIP)
I appreciate that it's not polite to talk ill of her but.. She came into the shop where I worked in the Kings Road (Chelsea Girl but most will know it as River Island). She was so full of herself. When the cashier asked her for her bank card (she was paying by cheque), Carole said You're expletive joking aren't you, don't you know who I am? Cashier replied, No I'm sorry, I don't think that we've met before. Carole was not happy.0 -

guy in comet looked at me like i was totally thick and said 'Missy you dont boil water in your oven you use a kettle'
'Missy' went straight to his manager got him a flea in his ear and herself a new working properly cooker:rotfl:
thanks for the cleaning tip tigerwhite ill remember that one
Well I returned the oven thermometer to Lakeland and the lady said that it was the second one that had been returned today. I've decided rather than messing about with oven thermometers just to spend the £30 or so on a new thermostat.:beer:0 -
