Help with buying clothes

Matalan go up to a 22/24 in most of their ranges. They're much more within my price range.
And I totally sympathise with the height issue, I'm size 20/22 and only 5 ft tall
Thank heavens for evans having started doing a "short" range in trousers and skirts in the last few years, I try to get my dressy stuff here or aim for the sales (thankfully these are a regular thing in Evans now).
I also find Dorothy Perkins 20s are quite generous and also sometimes find a few bits in TK Maxx (although not as much as I would like).Mortgage Free since January 2018!0 -
Most of the mail order catalogues do larger sizes too - LXdirect, Kays, Laredoute etc - MK1 do some lovely cheap and cheerful tops (their trousers are always too long and I'm 5ft7 - but I take them up)....

Being only 5ft myself, i find even the majority of the necklines in the Evans petite range are way too low and i feel swamped in a lot of their clothes. However, your a tad taller than me so you probably will get away with it. I do think their clothes are rather overpriced though for what they are and the quality isnt that good. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. I managed to get 3 nice jumpers in MK1 the other day in the sale for £5 each so that was a good start. Had a quick look at DP last night and they look quite good and their prices were ok, I didn't realise they went up to 22.
I know what you mean Judi, I don't have a very large bust for my size and find that everything is ok round the middle and too large up top. Had a look in Evans last week and wasn't really impressed with their range and they were a bit pricey. Going to spend a couple of hours this afternoon having a look at the websites you all recommended. Will let you know how I get on.0 -

im sure tis matalan where jeffrey rodgers do a 18+ range and his stuff is generally pretty good, from what i've seen in matalan theres some pretty tops in the range0 -
Matalan do Rogers and Rogers, which is plus size, also sixteen twenty six in Tescos worth a look. Primark used to do a prima plus collection up to size 28ish, but they stopped doing this. Aaaargh!0
