I've cleaned the kitchen windows, thought I'd better, heart of the home and all that....plus everyone gathers there to drink Bucks Fizz and watch me cook [who needs television....] But what they don't know is I have several tall boy jobs lined up. I thought a six foot sixer might like to clean the kitchen spotlights and another the glass hob ceiling thingy. Saves me balancing precariously on a chair!Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30

There you go, you said doing the housework brings good luck. Smokey has just ensured you get extra luck next year :rotfl:
I'm out my dressing gown and in the most horrible of tracksuit bottoms and t-shirt for housework duties. Not a good look at all.

Oops, not nice at all. Is he put out because of the gosling arrival? Maybe a Feliway plugin would help?Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30

That's lovely, no issues with that!
Colin has a walnut and he loves it! It is a walnut in a shell and if he loses it, there's at least another 50 in the bowl. DS3 saw them in the market and bought them. However, I don't have any nutcrackers....Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30

Housework done. Candle stash raided and have a lovely display of candles on the mantlepiece ready to light tomorrow [I didn't realise just how many I had squirreled away
]
I've just finished making Tiramisu. I'd bought home plenty of double expresso from work and I added Baileys to the coffee mixture for the biscuits and mousse. OMG it's to die for.....certainly won't help the waistline...never has a bowl been so licked out. Very tempted not to serve it tomorrow and keep it all for me
In the spirit of mse I am going to declutter the Baileys tonight whilst watching television. It's untidy to put it back in the fridge, don't you think?
Also made some cranberry, almond and orange biscuits as I thought they would be nice and Christmassy to welcome folk with. I rolled them in orange sugar which has made them sparkle. [orange sugar is only caster sugar and grated orange rind, not something lurid and very orange...]
Yet to do the table. I have some shiny red apples to insert tealights into [guess who gets the apples later?] mixed with gold baubles and cinnamon sticks, it should look very nice. Hopefully, DS1 will remember the crackers, he was told to get red and gold ones. However, thinking about it and knowing him, we'll be lucky to get any sort of crackers!
Thank you all for your help, advice and laughter this year. I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and a healthy and wealthy New Year.
