What do you get done at the hairdresser and how much do you pay?

I get a wash cut & blow dry for £7 at my local college hair salon. The students are all well supervised and I have had better cuts from there than from some more expensive hairdressers.0

£50 for cut, blowdry, straightened and highlights (but only put 1 colour in so roots a bit patchy) usually have 2/3 colours. My previous visit to a different more upmarket salon was £106! I knew it was expensive but nearly had heart attack!
Next time I'm going back to the training college place, failing that the dry shampoo with a hint of colour is good for disguising roots (only had done 3 weeks ago).

I'm in the North East and have long hair. I get two shades of highlights (half head in foils), cut, blow-dry and straightened for £50. Cup of tea included. I don't tip every time but at Christmas I do put a fiver in the box.Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0

I know you don't have to tip, and I wouldn't if I wasn't happy (I'd complain!) but finding a good hairdresser/facialist etc is hard and if I'm pleased with the results, I like to be able to tip - most get paid very little..0

I tip £2 each time.0

Mobile hairdresser - cut, full head colour, blowdry and straighten is £40. Not too bad considering she is a franchise type thing from a big name salon in the area. Fab hairdresser tho.0

£35-40 at salon in Norwich- I don't mind paying that much though as I only go every 6months-ish, go through phases of growing my hair then wanting it all cut off! And they have massage chairs when they wash your hair
