  • Hi all,

I'm in again this week. It's half term so I should be home from work a little earlier to do more jobs, BUT kids are home all week with DH so the house will probably be trashed

Im in again, well not feeling too good all week, so house has suffered. Overdosing on Lemsip at mo, its amazing how quickly it decends into chaos if you don't keep on top of things.
I've no idea how the hob got cracked but we've had it 12 years so I think it's served us well!

(It's a ceramic one - now do I get another one or go for an induction one?)

DD2 is sleeping it off.... hopefully...

Sorry to hear about your hob, I got a new one in October, I had a ceramic one, but went for iinduction, its so amazing, extremely fast and what i love is that if things do boil over, you just give it a quick wipe, nothing sticks to it, as it does not heat up. Mine was fairly cheap as well, it was £229 in Currys, and its Logik, but just noticed it in Dixons for £199 follow the link below and type in logik induction hob, http://www.dixons.co.uk/gbuk/logik-lindh!!!0-induction-hob-black-04990916-pdt.html

RubberbiscuitWelcome to the thread, you will like it here, As a person with allergies, your house would be a nightmare for me, I can understand not having an iron, some people don’t iron (I am not one of those :rotfl:) do you have a carpet sweeper or just not bother? (I have an 18 yr old cat BTW but she was a stray I took in 14 years ago and not a cuddly cat, think I have built up an immunity against her)

My house would probably kill someone with a pet hair allergy!!LOL:D
I know I sound really skanky for not vacuuming but the truth is I have had several cats with behavioural issues so it was too much work having any carpets!! (at one point even the tablecloth and cushion covers had to be waterproof!!)... Much easier to have tile/lino/laminate then just sweep through and mop.:)

    Im off to a good start today. Finished work at 8.30am and so far have;
    wm x1
    wiped/tidied kitchen
    swept and mopped all downstairs
    cleaned the dog run
saved some veg from a dustbinny demise (spinach steamed and frozen, pots blanched and frozen for roasties, strawberries frozen for smoothies).
    walked dogs x 1
been into town and saved 3.97 on hair dye and bought the blender I wanted (which had 5 squid off so hoorah!):T

am now having a slice of HM courgette cake and a peppermint tea whilst I consider whats next..
(namely airer x1, turn rest of pots into garlic and herb wedges for freezer, put away shopping, another wm load and maybe a nap!!);)

Bossymoo yes, feel free to substitute things - you don't have to stick to the list rigidly.

Mr T just been so have some food in the house thankfully :T. I vacuumed through the whole house a bit earlier and part way through realised the vacuum wasn't picking up as well as usual so changed the bag. Wow, what a difference! The kids have been busy painting their nails and DS's are now a fetching shade of turquoise - DH will be thrilled :p!

Debating whether to go into the garden with the kids for some fresh air and exercise for all of us or do my ironing. Hmmmm ..... will have a cup of tea and make up my mind!

Just checking in to see what else was on my list, great that I put it on here but couldn't remember what there was when I logged off.

Since my last post I have had lunch and

    List for today
    [STRIKE]Vac stairs[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]Vac downstairs[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Bake cake[/STRIKE] in the oven now
[STRIKE]Go shopping[/STRIKE] forgot the eggs the first time so had to go back out, if I had thought about it I could have done a swiss roll sponge but only thinking of that now
....and from the look of that apparently I am also going to be superwoman! :rotfl: nearly there :D
