I'm in again for this week. Thanks for the list juliejim.
I much prefer working to the list rather than doing my own, even though I don't follow it doggedly. If I just came up with my own list I'm sure it would drift into being a boring routine, but this way it keeps me more motivated.

Meadowhall meet up I was about to block it out my diary thinking that it had been cancelled, but pleased to hear that it may happen after all.

Poorlies Hope you are all feeling better soon.

I have found a way to keep the cats outside... I bought a new doormat and they can't possibly walk on it! Stupid cats.. Peaches is having to attack Polly because she can't cope with the alien presence of a doormat! I swear she is deranged!

9:15 KH brought the children home!!!!!! He hasn't looked after DS3 properly AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!! So tomorrow I am on the phone to the diabetic nurse again.. and maybe the solicitor too .. GGggggggrrrr... 2 hypos because he didn't make sure he had his snacks and take his bloods properly.. I am quite cross!!!

I find myself doing little bits and bobs extra Rebaccaxoxo (love the user name by the way) usually Dustykitten or JJ read my mind and pop the extras I've done on the next days list so I'm secretly in front of myself ha. This will be me in for week four and can't believe it can actually be fun. Or am I just really sad? Really pleased with the improvements in the house restoring a little bit of confidence and self pride!! Ooh touch deep that for me..

Love to all the poorlies and anybody else that needs them:-) Any news on sleepy head?

Have a good time seafarers_wife and enjoy the break. Will you be logging in to see what's happening while you are away?

Thanks again Dusty for last weeks thread:-) and JJ for taking over the baton for this week.
Need to keep up with the lists and seriously do a toots and frog list. It's funny but being organised with my cleaning routine (thanks solely to this thread and all you lovelies) seems to be helping make me more organised in other areas too. Long may it continue. My eBay auctions finished this evening and I've made a huge profit £113 (holiday fund) Never done anything like it before MSE forums changed my life.

  • Hi everyone

Firstly, please include me in this week juliejim and secondly, can anyone explain how last week got off to a goodish start but from Thursday onwards - "could do better"! Combinations of an early hospital appointment, nasty headaches, rheumaticky/arthritic aches and pains and not sleeping v. well make for not much flying! Here's hoping for this week ......

Monday - Kitchen and Dining Room

    Level One
    Clear and wipe surfaces
    Clear and wipe table
    Level Two
    Sweep and mop floor
Descale kettle and iron if needed
    Level Three
    Sort out a cupboard
    Clean windowsill
    Wipe tiles
    Extras
Spend some time with your family

Mind if a newbie joins in?:D
I could do with some motivation to clean the house! I have 6 cats and 3 dogs who are very messy and my cleaning attempts are hampered by the fact Im really not as bothered as I should be about filth and grime!!:o I dont even own a hoover or an iron!!

I can sympathise with everyones problem kitties though! I spent 10 years with a totally untrained cat who liked to poop on high surfaces. (you never knew if you would pull just a book off a shelf or a dried poop shower on your head!!). Thankfully now I only have one mischief maker who likes to wee by the front door!

Im going to try and do levels 1 and 2 (despite being sleep deprived post nightshift and not having a dining room....or an iron!!). Also going to start the declutterisation of the upstairs this week by cleaning the old pet cages and putting them in the loft, oh and also the xmas decs which are still sat in my bedroom!)

    Insomniac? You lightweight! :p

I have been awake all night chatting online to.......erm......a very nice man who plays at one of my regular gigs.....and who has become single in the last year as well.

    :D:D:D

Shame it's half term week. Was invited out for coffee but had to postpone. But he has made a point of asking me to call.

Any ideas what I do next? I haven't got a clue!
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.

    Hi everyone,

Can I join again please? Been missing for a while, another beagle joined the happy home in November (he's lovely but got 'issues'!) so a bit more mess there. Plus two bereavements over the Christmas period (sister - horrible circumstances and the fallout will take years to sort) and my aunt - so I'm struggling to concentrate on anything, even going to work has been hard some days. Not really like me at all, I'm usually on top of most things. DH has been fantastic, I didn't realise how lucky I am till all this cropped up - but I feel it's time for me to get things sorted now.

Onwards and upwards as they say!

Oh - Jojo - just keep chatting! I did the same a few years ago, staying up till all hours, chatting online - very nice it was too - then we eventually met - and we have now been married for 3 years - just enjoy yourself!

Here's today's wish list (whenwe get in from work!)

Monday - Kitchen and Dining Room

    Level One
    Clear and wipe surfaces
    Clear and wipe table
    Level Two
    Sweep and mop floor
Descale kettle and iron if needed

  • all plans for today and tomorrow cancelled ( boohoo - DD2 and I were going to Leeds tomorrow!) as DD2 got up and was promptly sick again!:mad::mad:

She hadn't been sick since Thursday last week - I've never had a bug return like this - what do I do?
