I would query the charge with the distribution company as it seems very high. I would ask for a detailed breakdown of costs. I work for a distribution company & would have expected your damage cable to have come in at jointer fee of £95 x 3 hours, a couple of service straight joints material= £30 & VAT if applicable which would have cost just over £300. There is no set cable depths but we also take into accound how deep was the cable that was hit & if the cable was shallow then there normally is no charge to the third party who hit the cable.
I have seen cable damages where the customer has taken off the whole street that have come in cheaper then your cost. If you find that you are meeting a brick wall with the distribution company then ask to go down there complaints procedure & this could go as high as the ombudsmen if you are still not happy.0 -
It depends if it needed an SD2 dig and what the distrubution area is, YEDL would charge double what you have stated for a standard none emergencyDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0
