I buy the cat litter at Aldi. Brilliant value. My cats will only eat their dried food, but they will only eat Felix gail pouches so have to order that from Amazon. (it's a good price and saves carrying. )
They have nice cheeses and their chicken is good and great value.
I spend about £30 a week in there and £40 between Morrison's and other shops.
Lots of good buys in Aldi0 -
I've switched to Aldi for my weekly shop and I pop into sainsburys (practically next door to it, as is asda and tesco isn't far off either - spoilt for choice) for cat food, sandwich bags and deodorant once every 3 weeks-ish. The only thing wrong with aldi being so cheap is the fact I can now afford to buy too many cakes, sweets and biscuits lolSave £6k in 2013 member 168 £1187/60000

We have only just started going to Aldi when we are in the area for one and already really pleasedwith the fruit, veg and meats etc. Managed to get lemon shredless marmalade which we haven't been able to get in ages from anywhere. Also the cloudy lemonade is lovely. My girls love the digger chocolate bars in their lunch box 18 for 99p.0

I popped into Aldi yesterday and was a bit disappointed with the prices tbh. Also they were out of sour cherry jam, which I wanted to try after many a recommendation from OS'ers.Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

I can't go to Aldi as it's over an hour on the bus and Tesco is 10 minutes and also on the bus route home from work (unlike Aldi). I can't go to Lidl because there isn't one around here.
Tesco Cola Zero 2 litres is 39p but all of the other Tesco 2 litres are 60p and above. There is also the sunsip cola for 39p. It may be worth checking the Tesco website each week to see if the prices have changed. http://www.tesco.com/groceries/product/search/default.aspx?searchBox=tesco%20cola
Asda pizza's are £1 and they have a great selection. Iceland also have a selection of pizza's for £1.0 -
Things I buy from Aldi include;
fruit and veg
curry sauces
ciabatta's
pizza's from the fridge
oven chips
sausages
milk
cheese
crisps - hangover snack food!
fizzy orange
apple juice
squash
lemonade
I know there are other things too, but that's what I can think of for now.
I am fortunate in that Aldi is closer than any other supermarket to me so is easy to pop in for the odd things and have a little browse of things. It's small enough to complete in 10 minutes! There is another much bigger Aldi in our town but I've only been there once!0 -
I do my main shop at aldi then get a few bits I can't get in aldi in waitrose and do an occassional run to Morrisons/Aldi for reduced stuffPeople seem not to see that their opinion of the world is also a confession of character.

I do virtually all my shopping in Aldi, with a few exceptions:
- Stock Cubes [Vegetable & Chicken]. I've never seen stock cubes in my Aldi, so I get these from Tesco.
- "Big" Yorkshire Puddings. Aldis' small yorkies are nice, but I still buy the 3 for £1 ones from ASDA every now and then.
- Roast Beef. I occasionally buy the "Serves 3" Birds Eye Roast Beef, usually from Tesco.
Everything else, comes from Aldi. So far this year, I've done six, weekly shops, all from Aldi, with one quick nip into Tesco to pick up a big bag of Onions.Live Healthily for £40 a month challenge:
January 2012: £36.51 spent.
February 2012: £39.55 spent.
March 2012: £38.02 spent.
April 2012: Skipped.
May 2012: £24.13 [So far].0 -
We tend to use Aldi to stock up on sandwich stuff for work . Its slightly further away then Sainsburys , but they do very good bread/ rolls/ wraps and as people have said their deli meat is far better then anyone elses , and their crisps are cheap too ! A big plus factor for me is the size , I loathe walking around large supermarkets trying to find the bits i need , then queuing for ages . We have a large Asda Walmarts here and a third of the way round and I am ready to slit my wristsVuja De - the feeling you'll be here later0

I am a recent Aldi convert. Previously an Asda fan, but took to Lidl when it opened near us and then discovered Aldi is way better. I get most of my stuff there and then top up with what I can't get at Asda.
Aldi really seem to champion British food rather than some of the strange tasting german stuff you get in Lidl (ie their ketchup is absolutely dire!) and their really fresh fruit & veg has got little British stickers all over it so it's nice to know it's not had to come all the way from Spain, etc.
Loving their biscuits, tortilla & pitta breads, nuts, pizzas, frozen fish, fresh veg, fresh fruit, fresh chicken & you just can't go wrong with their little fruit juice cartons for packed lunches.
Only thing that annoys me is the way they throw your shopping at you at a hundred miles an hour - is there anyone who can keep up? - and I don't even pack into bags til I get to the car! Saying that it was the same in Australia when we visited my uncle so maybe it's just the way they're trained.
