I do all my fortnightly shopping at the nearest supermarket Morrisons then do a small £5-£10 top up shop at the small Sainsbury's Local just around the corner once or twice in between. I don't have time to go to Aldi then Lidl then Wilkinsons and Home Bargains then Iceland and Asda then Sainsburys then Tesco then Morrisons not forgetting Boots with it's fantastic special offers and bonus points. It would take hours and cost a fortune in travel costs. If I find a really good special deal from one of the other big supermarket then I'll get it delivered if it's worth it.:footie:
Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)

I just go to Aldi for everything except certain herbs and spices and jars of chopped garlic (which they don't stock) and bath products because I like the bodyshop. I find big supermarkets depressing, time-consuming and expensive. A weeks shopping for 5 takes 20 minutes and costs less than 50 quid - then I leave and get on with my life!0

You have to be careful of over pricing even in Aldi, for instance as one example...
4 pack kitchen roll @ Aldi £1.99
4 pack kitchen roll (Talent) @ my local premier £1.00
Granted they are different brands but are exactly the same design/thickness and roll length.
Edit:
Just to add both are made at the same factory in Leicester0 -

This is me now. I was spending hours looking for "bargains" in Tesco before christmas, now the aim is to get as much as poss in aldi and then get what i can't elsewhere. DS is lactose intollerant otherwise i think i could pretty do the lot in aldi for £40ish per week for family of 4.0 -
I have an Aldi and Lidl nearby, but I've tended to pop in just for specific things. After reading this thread, I'm going to try to get the bulk of my shopping there.always_skint wrote: »You have to be careful of over pricing even in Aldi, for instance as one example...

Off Topic I know, but I recently bought three packs of good quality dishcloths from Wilkinsons, now I hardly use any kitchen roll at all. I only resort to it for really messy jobs. :A[FONT="][FONT="] Fighting the biggest battle of my life.Started 30th January 2018.

I do my main shop in Aldis - then go to Tescos every two to three months to stock up on items Aldi dont sell. Its not just the price which I like about Aldis - its the quality of the food and other stuff! not to mention that it takes me around 20 minutes to do a full shop, that I am not queuing for ages, that I am through the checkout at the speed of light and the staff are cheerful, freindly and helpful - without all that false 'have a nice day' stuff!0

Aldi's Ben and Jerry equivalents are gorgeous! I haven't tried them all but the ones I have tried are gorgoues, particularly the caramel one with chocolate chunks.0

The only things we have to buy elsewhere are branded products that Aldi don't stock and don't have as good an equivalent. Whiskas Simply cat food (he won't eat anything else), instant coffee (don't like Aldi's), oven chips (we only like McCains or Aunt Bessie's).
Can't think of anything else we don't get at Aldi. It's our regular main shop now. Their bread is very good value at 69p for a full size toasty loaf.I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe
