I only did 2nd viewings on houses we were considering putting in an offer. And we didn't put the offer in straight away but went away to think about it and decide what offer to put in (and people suggest not to look too desperate as a buyer:)).
Good Luck0 -
I've had 2nd even 3rd viewers and they still didn't buy - one lot made an offer we accepted - then the guy came back with his daughter to see it, his parting comment was "I'll see what she thinks now", bit strange being as he was buying it.
Sensible chap.
I recruited my daughter for a third viewing once or twice. It's a good thing to bring in someone relatively disinterested and yet capable of 100% honesty, especially if partners are similarly-minded. They may miss things, or gloss over them by weighting the appealing factors too heavily.
The OP should also bear in mind that some people prefer to bring a builder along, rather than use a surveyor. I did that for third viewings, and so did my last buyers/non-buyers.
A lot depends upon the complexity of the property, but to buy after one viewing, I would have to be offered a property in a place already well-known, or an incredible bargain!0 -
The people who bought ours had a 4th viewing...
You would be amazed what you miss when viewing a house. I would never put an offer in without seeing it twice.0 -

I also agree with previous posters. As a seller you can look on it as an encouraging step but don't assume that a purchase will definitely happen.
I was lucky though with my sale. When my buyer came for the first viewing, it was clear that she liked it from the start. I had an instinctive feeling about it. Later that day, the agent rang me with her offer (after just 1 viewing) and it did go through.
She did come back for another viewing but only after i had accepted the offer.0 -
Found out the parents came with the ppl looking, who by the sound of are first time buyers.
Hopefully I will be able to post some postive info on here...0
