With hind site.....I could perhaps have had a condensing type which did not have a combined hot water tank.

But I am where I am moaning about what I am moaning about

So are you going to edit the thread title that calls all condensing boilers rubbish when it is this particular model that doesn't meet your needs in one respect, and delete the references to John Prescott when he had nothing to do with the recommendation of this boiler nor your choice to have it.
loose does not rhyme with choose but lose does and is the word you meant to write.

Please read... especially about Prescotts part in this particular fiasco.

"In 2005, the then-deputy PM John Prescott drew up a masterplan to help Britain meet its CO2 emissions targets, as dictated by the 1997 Kyoto Protocol. This involved a new law ordering that all new and replacement boilers fitted to British homes — some 1.4m annually — must from that date be of the condensing type".

So get YOUR facts right M8.

It is because of the likes of Prescott that one has NO CHOICE but to fit a Condensing Boiler.

Only for it being the LAW I would not have purchased a Condensing Boiler at all...least of all Worcester.

I took advice on the best model from the Installer.

How on earth anyone can defend Prescott after the devastation he left behind on the road and knocking down thousands of homes which could have been refurbished I do not know.

You are another one who's rubbish advice I can well do without...including the poster above you.

I am so very pleased for you M8...well done.:D

Actually, when mine is running O.K. and it has been for around 18 months now, I am more than pleased with it.

Apart from my hot water issue:cool:

Mine is a Bosch - I never have the pre water heating on at all - doesn't seem to make a lot of difference it heats the water pretty quick when the heating is off - the shower I fitted to it is very powerful so no problems there ... now if I could only afford to pay the bloody gas bill ... ;)

But your complaint is about the model you decided to have installed with the integrated hot water reservoir - there are many condensing boilers that are not combi boilers and many combi boilers that don't have an integrated hot water reservoir, so John Prescott's policy has nothing to do with the problem you are complaining about.

    You originally asked:
Does anyone else have this problem who has a Condensing Boiler...or is it just Worcester Bosch?

Do you yet accept that the problem is not because it is a condensing boiler?
