    "my bad
doos it work when ya xbox is chiped"

well i did write in the auction that it would work with modified consoles

that would be according to my OH anyway, we don't actually have a chipped or modified console

    I'd reply: "I would try to help but I can't understand a bl00dy word you're saying!"

Sorry am I missing something here.

You stated that it was US in the format and in your listing.
He brought the game and is complaining to will not work.

Id say it was clearly stated US only. If he gives you a negative ask ebay to retract it. As you have done nothing wrong.

If he starts a paypal dispute he hasnt a leg to stand on - you listed the details in your auction.

Ok you will have a negative on your feedback until its sorted but that would disappear.
Thanks to everyone who posts comps :T

no you're not missing anything, that is correct. Just to summarise:

I stated the game was US format and that it would not work on standard UK consoles, someone from UK bought it and then complained that it would not work on his UK console

I told him to read the auction again, he asked if it would work on a chipped console, I said it should do and that is hopefully the end of it

If I did receive a negative feedback I don't think ebay would remove it though but i would be able to leave a response to it. It will hardly affect my feedback score it just wouldn't be fair as I would have done nothing wrong.

I may be an old fogey, but doesn't his statement of "my bad" in his e-mail mean that he is admitting he made a mistake?

On that basis, then why would he leave a neg? It seems to me that this issue is resolved on the basis of what he has put. The only difficulty I foresee is if he tries it in a chipped box and it doesn't in fact work when the auction and e-mails have told him that it will.

yes I believe "my bad" is admitting he made a mistake and i think that is the end of it so hopefully he wont leave a negative or neutral feedback

not all xbox 360s can be chipped, but it will work on those that have been chipped or can be chipped as chipping them removes the region protection

I just wish some E-Bayers would bloody read. I'm happy to answer questions about items that aren't mentioned in the listing but often I get questions where the answer's given in the listing. And I just don't reply to the latter kind. Because if someone can't be arsed to read the description then I don't particularly feel like doing business with them.

Yes, I am a grumpy sod, and my grumpiness extends to leaving negative feedback as well. I had one recent transaction where the person claimed they couldn't pay for two weeks. Lo and behold, no payment after three weeks. At which point I filed an NPB and got my fees back. They, of course, left negative feedback but I really don't care. I've got a 98.5% positive feedback percentage and I'd rather take the neg and inform anyone who might end up with that person bidding on their item that they're a deadbeat. Plus, two more NPB strikes and that person's off E-Bay, at least with that account.
