What do you put on the floor in the door ways where you have say a carpet or ceramic tiles in the adjoining room?

Don't worry to much about which way your jig saw blade cuts, all your cut ends should be covered by beading or skirting board. After you have cut a couple of boards you will know.

Sometimes using a normal blade, it will 'rip' bits of laminate off that are not covered so better to use the laminate blades as this will not happen. Also, should you be fitting in places where it will not be covered and silicone is then required (such as around toilets etc in a bathroom, ) then you will want a neat cut :)

You use the appropriate door strip... a laminate to carpet or a laminate to tile

Thanks, I need to get down to the local retailers to see the accessories etc.

I'm soon to have a bathroom suite replaced and wish to laminate the floor.

What's the best way to do this with the least inconvenience, i.e. at least having a loo to use at the end of each working day.

What's the best underlay to use for a thick concrete floor (flat built in early seventies) which is covered with hard vinyl tiles so a very flat surface(upstairs flat no restrictive covenant about laminate flooring).

    Thanks :-)
