I have read that thread and to be honest it makes for rather unpleasant reading. Not very professional behaviour and it is enough to put me off using shopneo ever.
I don't think they are spammers or rip off artists though.0 -
There is another thread going about this company, regarding credit cards being used fraudulently after dealing with this company.
I am one of them! If anyone has any good CD & DVD deals please can you let me know, my stock is running low. Thanks

From what I have seen it looks like the online card processing company that shopneo were using wasnt as secure as they should have been and card details have been stolen. The site is relativly new so I expect that the card processing company was new to shopneo, unfortunatly this incident could have ireperable consequences for shopneo I hope not as I have been buying from them without problems for years.
Shopneo have now changed the way cards are processed and it is now done another way so the problem should be solved in that sense.
Anyone that has ordered from shopneo in the last few weeks with the dysan and pendrive offers really need to check their statements for unauthorised payments and possibly cancel their cards just to be on the safe side.0 -

Can you guarantee that Shopneo's site is 100% safe now?
Anybody that has had dodgy payments taken from their cards following an online transaction at Shopneo, should follow this link;
I note that Paul Owen MD of Shopneo has stopped visiting MSE in recent days.

Unfortunately no website is ever 100% safe. Assuming everything is above board, the owner will more than likely be overwhelmed and therefore have other priorities. I wouldn't wish this on anyone as it will damage their reputation for months maybe even years to come, never mind all the short term problems.Inactive wrote:Can you guarantee that Shopneo's site is 100% safe now?

I think most people probably think the same way as you Mal. To be honest as a neutral here I can understand why people are hacked off but I also reckon that the guy that runs the site is probably trying to save his business.
I could well have been in the same boat as a lot of other people if I hadn't bought a shed load of Infiniti's that were recommended in another post. I think what upset a few people was the way in which "supporters" of this shop (if thats the right word) were almost aggressive with people who asked for information about this e-tailer and then when the first few people tried to warn people on here about problems they were accused by certain people of being "sabboteurs" amongst other things.You can't go wrong with carpet bombing...0 -
And in respone to SAVINGMUM I go along with the other 2 guys, I have mainly used svp.co.uk and ukdvdr.co.uk on many occasions but recently I did use choicestationery.co.uk for the infiniti deal with no problems at all.You can't go wrong with carpet bombing...0

Yeah, I understand that. I was one of the posters in a previous (locked) thread that mentioned several concerns... thankfully I didn't order the discs as a result.borosteve wrote:...when the first few people tried to warn people on here about problems they were accused by certain people of being "sabboteurs" amongst other things.0
