For the record I used ShopNeo recently for the first time after someone posted the Dysan DVD discs offer. I got a good deal and the service was fine.

I don't have a problem with site owners promoting their sites, in fact if you had a website selling stuff, wouldn't you promote it wherever you could too?

I do feel bad that I posted the offers and bigged up shopneo , but I have been using them for years without problems and I will continue to use them

I know they have changed the way orders are processed Paul Owen informed me, but as Mal27 said there is no sure fire way of being 100% safe when shopping anywhere, not just online. All you can do is ensure that you make all the checks like the padlock in your browser etc. Which show was it that showed flaws in the chip and pin system a few weeks ago, I know a person who is very well up on credit card systems and he says that isnt the worst thing about chip and pin. Ther is also all the reports of credit card and other details being sold by call centres by the thousand.

As for PaulOwens none aprearence on the forum I am sure he is doing all he can to find out what has happened and will let us know asap.

Well an appearance may well go a long way to putting the minds at ease of those adversely affected, otherwise it may well be construed in a bad light.

Has anybody actually heard from Paul Owen in the past few days?

Little John you posted in good faith.

It may well be the case that the fraudsters are in no way connected with the company at all, I have heard that fraudsters have been known to infiltrate high up in call centres etc, as mentioned on Radio 4 some months back.

It does make you think what can you do to be secure. One can have a decent AV, firewall, malware scanner etc yet be conned by a 3rd party outside your control. Certainly if a lesson can be learnt is have decent security at home as mentioned above, secure your passwords, perhaps pay be CC for more protection and check your statements. Be vigilant

As many users have found out to there cost credit cards are being used for fraudulently after dealing with this company I myself lost money.

I am Little John on digital forums, I have been a neo customer for longer that a DF member, I joined DF becasue of stuff I bought from neo and will continue to buy, I have been lucky not to have bought from them over the last few weeks, as I posted the offers I have been tryingt o help as I feel partialy responsible but as I said I have NEVER had any problems with neo, other companies yes but not neo.
