I have just over indulged this weekend nail varnish wise. But may do it more soon.
Just been in a large superdrug and it appears Barry M are bringing out 4 new magnetic shades. The counter was ready, but no mention of what colours.
Am I the only one who has invested into different pattern magnets?
Are you going to tantalise us with a list of your buys?
Another question, sorry. Have you bought different makes of polish to get the different patterns, or bought magnets on their own? I am new to this magnet thingy, just got the Boots 17 ones. The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0 -
Sorry, was busy dropping the skids off so didn't have time to reply earlier...
It started with Poundland, where I purchased three salon manicure colours, Camellia (pale pink), Delphinium (lilac) and. Strike a pose (white pearly)
Then I went to superdrug to look for a brown but got distracted by an offer on the NYC range and had a Midtown Mink (brown) and Permenant Pink ( I think its actually an orangy pink)
Anyway, today I was being a misery, so I went to Boots to get rid of my £5 vouchers and had a vivid violet to replace one I have used up and a Minty Green, which just looked lush.
Then still being grumpy I went to another superdrug and got a replacement Electric Beige and as they were two for £2.99 had a bright Jade green too.
So, still grumpy, but luckily my husband is very supportive so just laughed.
The deal with the magnets is that different ones make different patterns. I just brought a cheap set off ebay and instead of just the wave original. I can now do a starburst jobbie, stripes and diagonals. I did buy a super cheap set, and the only thing I found was I needed to hold them super steady because they don't have the little ridge the ones in the shops have here. Although it did come with a stand, but I'm cack handed and can't use it0 -
Oh yeah, I also got the sally hansen hd in green too!0

Looks a nice haul, hope you have recovered from the grumps:)
The magnets seem good, but not sure I could handle them very well. May have a look. The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0 -
I have not recovered, but I am in the process of recovering. Think I need a good nights sleep. Thankfully not in work till 9 tomorrow so I can have a bit of a lie in.
If I was buying the nail magnets again I would probably look for some with a ridge on, but I just had the cheapest set possible as I didn't know if it was a waste of money. Think they were only £2.990 -

So Supermodel is a kind of minky-brown colour? Looks really pretty, I'll have to look out for it. I do like the nice neutralish shades, I'm really into greys at the moment as they just seem to go with everything.
However, I've decided on a bit of sparkle to start the week - a nice shiny Orly silver foilDefinitely one of my favourites.

The Supermodel polish sounds similar to OPI meet me on the star ferry
:smileyhea
As God is my witness, as God is my witness they're not going to lick me. I'm going to live through this and when it's all over, I'll never be hungry again0
