Tried the Fantasy Fire today over some dark purple Ciate stuff that I got free with a magazine - definitely much better over a dark colour and I like it better. It did quite interesting things to the purple, it almost looked bronze in some lights and in others you definitely get much more of the red colour.
If any of you ladies are members of makeupalley.com have a look there. I saw at least 3 bottles of Fantasy Fire up for swap by UK swappers.Just got clear stuff on right now, not really in the mood for any of my colours anyways.
Yes, I've decided to wear neutrals this week. Today I'm wearing $OPI Nonfat Soy Half Caff (I have to read that name from the bottle as never can remember it fully) which is pretty much a skin tone colour. Am gonna wear a soft grey later in the week I think - probably OPI French Quarter for our Thoughts. My Leighton Denny Supermodel and Leading Lilac duo arrived today :j they look lovely. I'm saving them for tomorrow night because I've got loads of things to do tomorrow like cleaning the car which will ruin them. I think I'll go for the Supermodel though. I have patched up a couple of splits and just generally had a nice manicure in readiness....
I own these two colours too. I'm not overly impressed with Leading Lilac but Supermodel I adore. I own three bottles of it just in case there's a war! Got my first bottle for free from a lovely forumite on ST.com. I had started a thread asking if anyone wanted to sell a bottle as originally it was made for a TSV and I didn't want the whole kit. She gave it to me for free and I then bought a back up bottle. Another TSV was released featuring it and Emma bought me that one for my birthday.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

Morning Ladies
Tried my MF Fantasy Fire for the first time last.
I couldn't decide what colour to put it over and it the end went for an old Revlon one (Plum Attraction) whihc is a shimmery purple.
Although it looks really nice i think i made the wrong decsion. The FF over the top has intensified the colour of the Revlon one and added warm reddy tones but there is no colour-changeness which i have seen in some swatches online.
I think i may try in over a Royal Blue next time - or maybe even build up on its own into an full colour.
What other coulours would you advise trying it over?I'm so boring, my clothes wanna keep someone else warm, someone cooler0 -
Fantasy Fire looks really nice over dark purples and reds. I've tried it on various polishes of mine and I think it looks best over OPI Lincoln Park After Dark, OPI Louvre Me Louvre Me Not, OPI Play til Midnight, Topshop Deceptive and Revlon All Fired Up (to name but a few!)0

I love these sort of colours. They are perfect when I've had to cut my nails down because I've had too many breakages. It's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0 -

Leading Lilac is at the top of my most wanted list, it will be mine in due course;)The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0 -
Time to confess all, my little splurge from last week.
Revlon Facets of Fuschia
Revlon Radiant
Max Factor Fantasy Fire
Topshop Gypsy Night
Number 7 Magnetic Green
Number 7 Magnetic Blue - on nails at the moment.
I am not volunteering for a spell on the naughty step, nail polish is my "special thing", some months I may buy lots, other months none at all, it probably sounds sad to those "on the other side", but they make me happy, all the lovely colours, textures and finishes.:pThe best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. Me too. I always resort to Supermodel or Jermyn Street when I've cut my nails really short. Those colours make any nails look good, no matter what state they're in.
I'm undecided what colour to choose for this week, was going to go for black but now I've got Supermodel in my head...0 -
I have just over indulged this weekend nail varnish wise. But may do it more soon.
Just been in a large superdrug and it appears Barry M are bringing out 4 new magnetic shades. The counter was ready, but no mention of what colours.
Am I the only one who has invested into different pattern magnets?0 -
I still have a bottle of gold shatter unopened that I lusted after so trying to give the magnetic polishes a wide berth. As God is my witness, as God is my witness they're not going to lick me. I'm going to live through this and when it's all over, I'll never be hungry again0
