Well, so much happening while I have been away!
I understand the reasoning for starting the new blog, question is - are people like me who do not do nail art, challenges and stamping etc still going to post here? or are we going to join the clever girls over there, I know some people who had only just got into using nail polish felt a little intimidated by the
wonderful arty nails, so I am happy to pop up here with help if needed, whilst having a look and admiring their lovely work from time to time.:)The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0 -
I'm certainly not clever with nail art - at all! But I've joined over on the dark side;) as I love to admire other people's lovely stuff and I enjoy the blogs and looking at all those energetic ladies who do 31 day challenges efforts.
I'll probably sill be here too though - I love MSE and am subscribed to plenty of forums here so can't see me leaving.0 -
Im giving my nails, a week off from nails polish as my creative strike has gone for this week0

I had my first go at stamping this afternoon...Dis ast er! The polish smears on the plate and doesn´t ahere to the stamper thingy. I tried both a quick drying varnish, suppose it dried too quickly on the plate, then I tried a normal polish, but still no success.
Any hints or tips would be welcomed

If you're starting out i'd recomend using a proper stamping polish as they are much easier to work with and don't smudge.
The BarryM foils (gold/silver/lilac) also work.
Once you have tecqnique dowm then try out other polishes.I'm so boring, my clothes wanna keep someone else warm, someone cooler0 -

Oh I didn´t realise there were special stamping polishes. I live in quite a rural part of Spain, so things like that aren´t available. I´ll have to look on ebay
Can you explain how stamping polishes are different please
Thanks

Stamping polishes are thicker and gloopier. Leads to a better image.
Have a look at nailpolishdirect. They have the Barry M ones, they might deliver to spain x0 -
I'm pretty crap with nails and I've joined too
so come over and join us xxx

If you spot any really cheap nail art pens, the black and white cheap ones make great stamping polishes.
