Iagree on the dotting tools.
Girls, I have had an epiphany. By a very clever way of slightly cheating I have mastered the water marbling manicure. As people who have been here for a while will know my previous attempts have been akin to an epeleptic in front of a strobe being given a bunch of crayons. ( I also managed to wreck a table in the process to).
Will post pictures later x0 -
Morning ladies. For once I'm fairly pleased with how my rainbow nails turned out. Shame it took me 2 hours to do them!

I meant to add in my previous post, look what I picked up yesterday.

I know flocked nails will be completely impractical and one-night things but I've justified them by saying I'll be able to use them for crafting too. Flocked Christmas cards will be all the rage I'm sure

I have done rainbow week on my toes. Glittery blue 'galaxy' from hot topic, then used nail art pens to draw a rainbow on my big toe and clouds on the others. Tried to do a pot of gold but it didn't work, too fiddly!0

So far I'd tried making the dots with tooth picks (dots uneven and too small), nail art brush (not rounded dots) and struck the perfect size and even shape with the bobbly end of a kirby grip.
p.s. my OH snoring but in good health!
Glad to hear OH is OK.
I have a question for the dotting officianados - how do you get your dots to be flat? The two times I tried it mine wre raised like pimples and I ended p picking or knocking lots of them off!0 -

WOW. I was planning something similar but I better think again I guess or mine will be a poor relation of something so pretty.
I get the two hour thing - I can take an age just to paint plain varnish on - anything more interesting takes me hours usualy.0 -

You must be bendier than me - I can't stay doubled up long enough to do more than plain polish then something that involves quick jabs - dots or gluing odd bits on. I'm getting too old and my feet are just too far away!
Oh and we need pictures:)0 -
Nail foils. Harrumph. I put them on for metalic week one evening, with a top coat, and by the next day they were a dog's dinner. All I'd done was sleep. Any tips for making the darn stuff last longer than an hour unless you don't move or touch anything?
Look at this mess:(0 -
