Can anyone here do gradient manicures, because mine looks rubbish. Any ideas where I am going wrong?

I've tried a few times but can't get on with gradients and cremes. Holos and metallics are much easier.1008 Hollywalk Park Blog0 -
I agree with vee-licious, it's so not a fail! The colours seem very similar on the nail, though - either use a more contrasting colour, or add a third, darker one at the top as already suggested...?
This is all theoretical, as I've never tried gradient nails myself, but planning to try soon!Cogito, ergo sum.0 -

She is adorable, and a little monster! She is getting away with blue murder because she is so unbearably cute and chirrups like a dodgy fanbelt.
I never even thought of doing kitten patterned nails - mind you I'm totally non-artistic so any attempt at something freehand is bound to just end up looking like spodges!0 -

I'm a newly converted nail addicted, I've never bothered with my nails other than a quick one coat for a special occasion. As of last week and finding this thread I'm hooked and have already bought five new polishes and plain and sparkly tops coats.
I can't wait to keep adding to my new collection and trying out all the great ideas on here, I've gone from painting my nails once a year to doing them daily this last week and have even tried gradient already which turned out surprisingly well.
I can't believe I didn't discover this before or how often I now look at my hands, I've never bothered before but now they look so pretty.
My only frustration is drying time, it seems to take forever between coats, any tips to speed up a bit?0 -
I do as thin a coat as I can get away with Fosterdog It sometime means I have to do 4 or 5 coats, but I find they dry really fast if I do a really thin coat
plus they stay unchipped for longer this way I find x

My metallic manicure is GOSH Galaxy with Silver tip. I got them yesterday at a Superdrug which didn't have the Holo...
The line is not clean, but should be better in the future as I have some striping tape on order, yay!Cogito, ergo sum.0
