I ordered some course grade Spectraflair after seeing so many beautiful manis done with it, but tbh I'm a bit disappointed with it. I've put a tiny bit into a number 7 clear top coat along with some stainless steel balls. It's a scattered rather than linear effect. Bought some colour changing pigments at the same time. They've turned out nicer.

My somewhat messy attempt at holographic blue (not photographed well, mind you)

I was feeling low last week and had a 'sod it' moment and bought ocean rush and mercury twilight. It's just a shame that topcoat dulls it slightly.

I read a tip on a blog somewhere, or perhaps it was on here. I tried it last time I used my Virgin Vie holo and it made it last a bit longer...

Paint your holo on, then add a top coat, then another coat of holo. Sandwiching it with top coat extended it by a couple of days for me.

Here's my blue: essie Smooth Sailing with Barry M Pink Iridescent on top. I think I'm in love with Pink Iridescent! I've been putting it over every colour...
