Getting my OH to take me to IKEA tomorrow... not telling him what for though! hahaha! Helmer, you will be mine!
If you are unlucky enough to be as DIY challenged as me, you had better be very nice to him:D:D Mine is a Red one!The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0 -

True, at least it forces us to try other colours.
The MSE nail jinx continues. I've just shattered my right index finger nail while trying to close the car door with three shopping bags in my hand. It took a huge chunk out of the side so I've had to cut it right down. All the others will have to follow later, can't abide them being different lengths. So tomorrow, not only will I have yellow nails, I'll have very short yellow nails. How am I going to pull this one off?0 -
Hi everyone,
I'm desperatley hoping that all your nail knowledge can help me
My nails are peeling really, really bady!! I cut them right down last week because 2 snapped with being so thin. Anyway just getting them at a half decent length again for polish and they are peeling even worse. Infact they are peeling to around a third of the way down my nail.
I want to cry (over dramatic that I am) and have chopped them back again. They are really short now and I alomost look like I'm a nail biter.
What can I buy that will help, that won't skint me but will definatley work?
ThanksEven if you stumble, you're still moving forward.0 -

Please post about how it worksI've been watching that one on ebay for weeks but I'm always wary of the 'big' glitters as I can't ever get them on properly - I have a similarish Kleancolor that's lovely, but is a beggar to put on. But that one is so pretty that I keep almost ordering it ...

I can't recommend anything that will definitely work, as everyone's nails are different. I can only tell you what works for my nails.
Here's where everyone starts yawning while I bang on about Nailtiques again (it's Groundhog Day!). My nails used to peel quite badly, Nail Envy (Sensitive & Peeling formula) worked to some extent but my index & middle finger still peeled. A friend recommended Nailtiques Formula 2 and I've been using that ever since. No peeling at all now, ever.
You can buy Nail Envy or Nailtiques from Amazon, ebay, lookfantastic.com, beautybay.com etc. Just shop around for the best price. If you go for Nailtiques, make sure you get Formula 2 though, not Formula 2+. Good luck.
Oh, don't forget cuticle oil either.0 -

I was looking at that so I'd be interested in seeing swatches.
I've fallen off the wagon and bought some rococo polishes after Tokki and Oliver's blog post. Can't wait for the pleather one to arrive.1008 Hollywalk Park Blog0 -

I totally understand, am just starting the nailtiques trial as recommended by starrystarry... along with solar oil.
My theory was I've tried everything else, might as well give this a go!
At the moment my nails are about as bad as they've ever been, so it'll be a really good test for the nailtiques!0
