Hi all, can I join in? I am a nail polish addict (my favourite is Nails inc) but am waiting for my nails to grow at the moment following a series of disasters! Not even worth posting a pic at the moment as they are boring with just a frosted clear on to help with strength.

On facebook Malibu UK VIP page is giving away a grands worth (150 polishes) of nail polish to one lucky winner, Models own brand. http://www.facebook.com/malibuUK/app_300230383383362

You just join and fill in the form to enter. It's got to be worth a go!

    Loving all the pics too!
Oh dear, I just spent twenty minutes browsing the application and entering random things - hey, someone's got to win right?! Thanks :T

Hope it's ok to put this link in, went to town and bought some new polishes today (bad me) including my first two bottles of Models Own; I'm in love! Here's my blog with my write up of how I used them :)http://nails-and-nibbles.blogspot.co.uk/2012/07/nail-of-week-glitter-gradient.html

Aww, lots of hugs to the injured nail ladies amongst us.

It's been over a week since my last nail polish purchase so I'm polishing my halo!

What colour polish for the halo? :rotfl:

Why not paint the nails you have left? What's a nail between friends?

Tomorrow I think I shall. I'm just in a real 'humph' of a mood today. If it can go wrong it has type of day.

I bought the most amazing Barry M Red Glitter yesterday which reminds me for the world of The Wizard of Oz so I'm planning Oz themed nails I think.

I think I'll have an early night, watch the last 2 episodes of Revenge and stew in my bad mood.

  • Good, you've not tried Nailtiques yet, all is not lost :)

Put a coat of it on each day for a week or so, then take it all off an start again. You should see a difference within a couple of weeks. After 2 or 3 weeks of this, just start using it as a base coat under your polish. A bottle lasts me ages and my nails never peel anymore. HTH x

Right. I finally ordered some nailtiques (took me a while to have the time to sit down, compare prices and get it ordered!) and it's on it's way!

I shall follow the advice above but can I just check, I just layer it on day after day for about a week? A coat a day? How does each coat work then if the bottom coat is still there? Does it sort of seep through? I don't understand how another coat on top of six previous coats can be doing anything useful!

    Just curious.

I'm using nailtiques just now for my peeling nails ... Have been using it for about 5 days or so ... It's now kinda heavy on my nails but i can still feel something when i put a new coat on

Not noticed any difference in my nails though :(

Bah, it's not even been on for 8 hours and I'm already missing a chunk out of my left thumb nail! Thankfully it's the very lower corner and you can't really tell but still - grr.

    Thanks.

I think it would take a while to work, after all, the damage is already done to the ends of my nails. I'm hoping it will stop any new peeling though, once I've grown the existing peeled bits out.

I've got solar oil in the post too! Had to draw the line with the cuticle eraser though, maybe next month. They didn't have the blue tube on Amazon when I looked, and anyway my voucher only just covered the cost of the solar oil and nailtiques together!
