Arggghh help! I just somehow manage to hit the wall with my thumb nail straight on and it's now broken halfway down my nail bed - very painful. How can I stop it from tearing anymore as it would be incredibly painful (and probably bleed loads) if I tear it off but it's going to take a while to grow out.

Thanks in advance from a very unhappy and in pain me.x.x

P.s I've got no superglue unfortunately

Thanks for the suggestions, I've cut a piece of plaster roughly the size of my nail and stuck it on and painted it so it doesn't look too bad. It just hurts!! :( Hopefully it'll last a few days and I can keep doing it until my nail grows out. Stupid me, I was doing so well growing my nails out!

Iamashoppingaddict - they look great, well done!

Some advice please girlies, my dd is nearly 7 now & I have said we can paint her nails now we are on school holiday's, it's not something I will do regularly but will let her as a wee treat ( I don't think she needs anything like this she is beautiful in my eyes, maybe I'm overthinking it all?? I don't like little girls being dressed & made up like grown up's IYKWIM)
Anyhoo enough of my waffle what I am actually asking is can anyone recommend a nice girly pink, that look's cute, like an ice cream pink type thing, the majority of my polishes are purple so I don't have anything that would suit a wee girl. (on the purple note if anyone know's of a sheer, clear purple polish let me know I've been after 1 for as long as I can remember) We might go to superdrug tomorrow if it stops raining long enough.
    Booo!!!

I like the french manicure pinks - they're not in your face but they give your nails a nice glow. Not very noticeable though. I say take her in and show her a stand or two and let her pick what she wants? Best to direct her to the Collection 2000 or Barry M stands, nice and cheap and still good nail varnish :)
