What happens if he doesn't pay?Mr Straw described whiplash as "not so much an injury, more a profitable invention of the human imagination—undiagnosable except by third-rate doctors in the pay of the claims management companies or personal injury lawyers"0

Sounds like concussion.
May possible causes, slippery floor, fall bumped head, found outside room, hotel staff panicked (not First aid trained), called ambulance.
Food poisoning as already mentioned by Mikey, Toxic poisoning , led to confused state, collapse, bumped head again etc etc, ambulance.
Hotel staff spiked his drink.
A bit to much to drink doesn't prove he was drunk. sorry OP your statement is misleading the Insurance bods, they are getting all excited.
How come being trashed is one of the IC loopholes, trashed is open to interpretation and subjective.
Could be anything..........................claim.
psOh !!!!!! Mikey don't be !!!!!!. The thread is titled "drunk in vegas" not "food poisoning in Vegas"
That comment is offensiveCampaigning to recycle Insurance Policies into Toilet Paper :rotfl:

Hi!
Right I have spoken to him again and he is asking the hospital for the full report and will ask them to consider the price of the bill as he was only in there for 4 hours then released with no treatment.
He said the bill says nothing about being drunk. I have warned him about going down the "food poisoning" route as that is fraud and he will be screwed if convicted.
He did also mention he found a reciept in his pocket for $900 for 4 beers and a bottle of bacardi. Ouch...
Anyone know what would happen if he refused to pay??0 -

If he paid that, use that as evidence he had temporarily lost his sanity.
But I'm with Pedro above, it could still be anything at this stage without a full report, specifically stating alcohol abuse.0
