VERY slow draining sink-Help!

Take the trap off and do it properly. Then you won't be have to be putting any nasty chemicals down the drain. Modern sink traps are only done up hand tight, so should not be a problem. Make sure that there is a bowl under the trap to catch the water as you disconnect it.I can afford anything that I want.

From this post, I would think it is a bathroom sink and anyone not good with DIY, can run into big problems trying to remove the trap. I agree if its a kitchen sink, this is easiest. But some can find even this difficult. As stated always remember if you have used a caustic fluid as you need to wear protection and be careful of splashes.0
