Since then dh has taken the toddler out in the snow. The older 2 have loved it.

I went to Morrisons & got milk as I'd not panic bought any. I don't think I'll be able to get out & get the kids to school tomorrow. Neither of them go to school in catchment.

OS wise, 1 load waiting for me to hang up & another few loads to do. May make a cake later;. Roast for dinner tonight. L/O soup for me for lunch.

RA has flared up badly and my hands are so sore. Will have to get the kids to peel the veg for dinner.
*nods* yep, Mr LW's on spud-peeling detail as I type! This weather doesn't ealp at all, does it? I'm using my neoprene fingerless gloves a lot, and I have to say, they do help.

Aye, nasty, horrible white stuff! Mr LW did the run to Olney Farmers Market this morning, only to find that the cheese van wasn't there!:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek: Anyways, he got a little cheese from the other cheese van to tide us over, (more expensive and smaller, pre-wrapped blocks) so we can at least eat, and we'll see if Ian the Cheese Man turns up at Woburn in a fortnight's time. Meantime, I foresee a visit to W@itrose's deli counter on Wednesday (Mr LW's next day wfh).;)

HM quiche and chips for dins in..... about 2 mins, if the sounds from the kitchen are anything to go by.;):D

    Hiya everybody,

Still snowy here, but seems to be melting now-it was foggy first thing.DH couldnt get the van out off our long steep drive this morning to go and pick DS2 up,who stayed at a mates when they got back from Manchester. He had to get the shovel out and dig,but its ok now and the main roads seem ok.Our friends didnt make it out for the meal last night,so we walked down ourselves.Frustrating as we woudnt have gone out on our own normally,in the interests of saving money-though it was nice for a change.

Gammon steaks for tea, followed by apple crumble.I have done another stock take of my freezers, and will meal plan again soon.Just off out to get some more thread for sewing, may call in ald i as there is one near.

    Stay safe everyone(and warm)
    Hugs to esmf.xx

    hugs to all...

the snow here has almost gone (gutted as i did my oath in my PJ's this morning before anyone could walk on it, and compact it to ice, and then the sun cam out)

i have just popped on a pan of leek and potato soup but changed the recipe slightly as i didn't want to add milk and cream....

does anyone have a good one if this is awful?

hope you are all snuggled and warm, i have a hot water bottle, and chocolate out as i have PMT, and tummy cramps.

No snow here :( nada, not even a frost! Hope you all enjoy the snow though!

My day got off to a bad start when I slept way later than I ever do and woke up at 10am which is when I'd planned to be in the library :rotfl:Nevermind. I got all the bits done that I need to, and called in to see my nan too.

I'm now sitting on sofa under blanket watching the rugby, come on Wales!!!

OS wise - got some YS bargains in Boots today - 2 x sandwiches reduced to 44p and veggie sushi for 46p :) had one s/wich today and the other for lunch tomorrow. Need to make soup later and put out recycling too.

    Have a good day all
