  • Thank you for the advice... At the bottom of my Wescot letter is states @If we do not hear from you by the 22/09/2011 we will assume the contact information we hold for MISS ***** ******** is correct.
After reading these threads I shall ignore this latest letter as it doesn't state who or what it is for.

Why just ignore this latest letter...??? The advice is to ignore every letter.

  • Revelation... I recieved ANOTHER letter this morning, 1 day after Wescot! This one is from control account plc! This one states

"We have firm instructions to start legal proceedings and apply for a County Court Judgement against you if you do not pay. Previously people have ignored these letters, we WILL take action to resolve the amount in FULL."

I actually couldn't believe what I was reading!! I have looked at the letter online but the second one is nothing like the one I have received, and |I haven't even contacted them!!!!

Getting slightly worried now but I shall continue to ignore, just wanted to keep you all updated.

    Please help!!
I too have received several letters from Wescot which I completely ignored (as i did all other letters) re overstaying at Euro car parks. However, I have now received a letter from 'Nelson Guest and Partners Solicitors', very bizarre but the state they have been instructed by Wescot acting on behalf of Sk Subscribers Services! I have never had Sky so can only guess they have mixed up m details as originall Wescot were chasing the Euro car parks issue!

An ideas what I sshould do now, i.e continue to ignore or request further info relating to this so called Sky account?

    Many many thanks all.

Interesting - that's a new one! What makes you connect it to ECP though?

If it were me I would send a letter saying you deny any debt to the named company; you have never had any dealings with Sky and if the solicitor does not cease harassing you about this matter you will report them to the authorities and your MP. Do not mention a vehicle or ECP.

Be fun to see what reply they send! Keep all those letters, could be interesting as they tie themselves up in knots with the use of the wrong template letters.

ECP never ever do Court BTW, I have had an ECP fake PCN myself. Nothing happens except the letters and you just have a different letter chain there.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I posted earlier #17 that it was unusual for Westcot to chase these debts. Specially as it had been with DRP. You need to deal with this as its a Sky account one of Westcots weapons will be to damage your CRF.

If you have never had a sky account then send them this!

    Dear Sir/Madam Ref No: 000011110000

You have contacted us regarding the account with the above reference number, which you claim is owed by me/ourselves.
We would point out that I/we have no knowledge of any such debt being owed to BskyB.
I/We are familiar with the ‘Office of Fair Trading Debt Collection Guidance’ which states that it is unfair to
send demands for payment to an individual when it is uncertain that they are the debtor in question.
I/We would also point out that the OFT say under the Guidance that it is unfair to pursue third parties for
payment when they are not liable. In not ceasing collection activity whilst investigating a reasonably queried
or disputed debt you are using deceptive/and or unfair methods.
Furthermore, ignoring and/or disregarding claims that debts have been settled or are disputed and continuing
to make unjustified demands for payment amounts to physical/psychological harassment.
I/We would ask that no further contact be made concerning the above accounts unless you can provide evidence
as to our liability for the debt in question.
I/We await your written confirmation that this matter is now closed. Otherwise I/we will have no option but to
make a complaint to the trading standards department and consider informing the OFT of your actions.
I/We look forward to your reply.

    Yours faithfully

    Hi Coupon-Mad and Esmerobbo...

Thank you both so much for your responses, truly appreciated.

Coupon-Mad -- the only reason I think Wescot is chasing the ECP issue is because no.22 above ("helpplease79") also received the same letter from Wescot straight after our string of letters from Debt Recovery Plus. I agree that they will tie themselves up in knots and look stupid, the problem being however that them all being such a bunch of cowboys probably don't care!!

Esmerobbo -- thank you very much for help with the response. I will send this and see what comes back. I am worried however that this may make them realise they have simply mixed up my details and then continue to pursue for the alleged "debt"?

By the way both, ECP and Debt Recovery Plus have been pursuing a debt in the amount of £120+, whereas Wescot and this solicitors letter are now chasing £45! How bizarre??!!!

    Thanks again for your help.
  • Afternoon everyone,

I wrote back in September after receiving a ticket from District Enforcement Ltd. I have since received a few of the standard letters saying I need to pay more now etc.. which I have ignored thanks to the advice on here but today I received an official looking document from Northampton county court (don't know why there as I am no where near and neither was I when ticket was issued). I have 14 days to reply.

As this now looks rather serious, I would really appreciate any advice on what the next step should be.

Please help as I am now panicking and wonder if I should just pay up even though the amount now is £215.00. :(

Please don't panic, can I asked is it stamped on the claim form, and check the envelope where did it came from. The reason why I am asking is that parking companies have been known to send blank forms without the stamp.
Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?
