I had a telephone interview for this role about 2 weeks ago.
The interviewer spoke very poor English and was very hard to understand.
Glad I didn't get it now though after some of the things I've been readingWhen you're going through hell, keep going...0 -

Hi craddock
They started off running through a bit of admin, salary etc then asked about my motivations for applying for the role. Then she asked me a few situation/competency type questions (using STAR - situation, task, action, result) - can't remember the questions exactly I'm sorrybut think giving examples of where you have dealt with difficult situations/targets etc...
It then moved onto a role play - she played a 'client' I played an advisor. The client had not turned up to an appointment and I had to call them to find out why, get them to come in again and also to think more about the area they wanted to work in (I think in this case it was marketing)bearing in mind that you (the advisor) know this is a hard field to get into.
I think that covers it but I am quite stressed at the moment so forgive me if I've missed anything!
I felt it went okay and I quite enjoyed the role play lol - was nice to be using my brain again.....alas it wasn't to be, this is the 4th time I've applied and I've got through to the face to face/assessment day only once (delicious buffet that day though, few years back). I think it's time I gave up now
Good luck to you anyway, let us know how it goesWhen you're going through hell, keep going...0 -

I'll keep u posted! P.s keep tryingxxxx

The telephone interview goes over the role, asks you about the company, role play asking you to be an advisor and questions about giving examples of over coming objections and meeting company targets at the same time etc. I passed that and last week went for the face to face final assessment stage. Friday i got a call to say I got the job. You have to sit an hour computer task and then go through to interview questions, mainly asking about the CV you have written and what choices you would make in a situation. I didn't find it stressful but it all depends on the type of person you are and how you deal with presure.
Good luck!0 -
Hi,
Thanks for everyone's updates. This helped me successfully pass the telephone interview. I now have my face to face this Saturday. I am told its a computer test, competency based interview and another (harder) role play. Can anyone update me on what questions they ask and what the role play involves?
Thanks in advance.0 -
Hi
A shame I only saw these posts today as I had a telephone interview for Ingeus. Anyway luckily I passed. I have a face to face interview next week and I just wondered if anyone else had any information about what kind of questions etc they ask.
Thanks0 -
loverofadeal - which office are you applying for? Have you found out if you have been successful yet? How did the face to face go?0

Would not recommend working for this company at all unless you want to put yourself under an extreme amount of stress and pressure, enjoy working to unrealistic targets with caseloads of around 200 clients and want to work with colleagues who spend their days in tears as they can't cope with the pressure and are fearful for losing their jobs as they have not met the unachievable targets!!!!0

Thanks for that disillusioned 74.
I have seen 3 ads for Igneus jobs in my area this year and thought there was must be a reason why they seem to have a high turnover.
I won't bother applying.0
