Santander Free £100 + Amazon voucher

Looking at this offer was going to set up a Barclays Current account (already a customer so will take a few mins) then "switch" it to this one and use Move £1000 in and out every month until i get the £100 and amazon voucher anyone done something like this or similar? Ive heard Santander have ****ty Customer service and don't really want to go ahead until I've heard a success story.

I've had positive & more recently, negative experiences with Santander.

If it's the same £100 offer that many others have done & made threads on, then i wouldn't worry about the bad press. Go ahead, pocket your £100, then leave.

You have to move 2 direct debits or standing orders.

There is a better offer through top cash back of £45.45 cashback ONTOP of the £100 so your £15.45 better off than the Amazon deal.

Anyone actually received the amazon gift voucher or £100 from them? Signed up over a month ago and still nothing!!

Not had any problems with Santander and got the incentive (both Quidco and Santander cashback) within reasonable times. I probably wouldn't use them as my main account, but certainly kept the account for the 5% interest rate on the current account (up to £2,500)/must deposit £1,000 per month (which immediately comes out again the next day).

You won't get the £100 until 3 months have passed and you've kept the account fed with £1000 each month.

On the Amazon voucher, the initial email said you're supposed to get it within 30 days of the account being opened. I opened mine about 5-6 weeks ago and chased up the Amazon voucher a couple of days ago and got the response that "they're waiting for my account to be validated" - not sure what that means but will give them a few more days before chasing again.

Would be good to hear if anyone else has actually had the Amazon voucher.

was thinking about this , but it says you wont get the cash back if you have had any other santander account in the last 3 months ..... who is in the santander groupe? as have a hsbc .... account and not sure if i can get this.
