Are they by any chance linking directly to a photo hosted on your own or a third party server? If so, if you change the name of the file, the picture won't show up any more on their listings. Some people even go as far as substituting the file with a graphic that says something to the affect of "Do not trust this seller, they steal other people's copyrighted material and bandwidth".0 -
how do I check if they are doing this. My phot is from my documents file not a third party. Thanks to everyone who posts comps :T0

If you just uploaded your photo in the standard way, you can't switch it. If you were using photobucket or similar, you might have a chance. My TV is broken!

Does sound like the free picture that is uploaded on the listing. And this other seller has copied and pasted onto there computer and used it that way.
Your not supposed to this, but it goes on all the time. People maybe dont have a camera to take there own pics, so they use other pics, or stock photos from the manufactures site.
Best way to stop this is to add some text across pics, like a security watermark.
You can certainly report them.
Is this pic a widely used 1 thoughMansion TV. Avoid at all cost's :j0 -
no - its my own for some picture taken on my camera with my own background. - I didnt use photobucket etc - I reported them and the other sellar has for using thier description. But ebay have done nothing as yet.
I know its fair competition and all, that but they have undercut all other BIN sellars of the same product - at least other sellars all kept around the same price, so everyone got a crack at the cherry - within £1, but this sellar has under cut everyone by £3.
I have an option - to undercut them (which to be honest is creating a war and they are probably only making £1.50 profit after all fees etc ) not taking going to post office etc into account.
They have also been using other peoples pictures and listing info on the other things they are selling. I have sent messages telling them about the misuse.
I dont mind competition but it really pees me off this person hasnt used thier own stuff and then blatently under cuts everyone else.
Would you guys under cut just to pee them off or is this not the way to go - they could be left with 10 items unsold. They are on BIN - can you change your BIN price once listed. The devil in me says put another auction on for less if they cant edit the price, and then if they dont sell any they will have to pay all the feesThanks to everyone who posts comps :T0 -
I've not been in a situation with someone competing - but I would defiitely keep reporting the stolen photos. Ebay have pulled each auction I've reported when that's happened to me.
I don't think they are interested if you report something copied from someone else's listing - that seller has to do it themselves. My TV is broken!

You could under cut, depends if you can afford to take the hit or not. Is this seller regulary taking your pics then.
If you a graphic program, best way is to put your seller name across the picture, make it harder for people to steal your pics.
If you havent got a program, there are some free programs to download or online ones.
You can alter your BIN price.
Keep reporting him, and if you know where he has taken the description from, point it out to them and see if he could report him also.Mansion TV. Avoid at all cost's :j0 -

no first time -took my photo - but all this persons listings contain photos and descriptions from other people ( they are lazy )
what happened is this - another sellar had thier picture & description stolen from this person, they reported them and sent a message to the thief who then changed the picture for the one on my listing.
I have reported them yesterday and again today as they sold all the items yesterday and have listed double the quantity today. So I and the other sellaer have reported them again today.
already told other sellar - they have reported him.
Can I keep reporting same auction to ebay over & over again until they act ? or will this just "upset" them ?Thanks to everyone who posts comps :T0 -
if you just report the same item number over and over ebay will simply ignore you.
Go and talk to someone on live help instead.0
