You'll be saying I spit in the faces of war widows and ridicule amputees next. You should try and stop yourself from making any more wacky assumptions about me.

We're not making assumptions. We're reading your posts.
You're the one shouting "obese", and it does tend to state what sort of person you are.
As to your other comments, maybe you do, maybe you don't, we haven't read any other opinions from you on that subject.0 -
Thank you all very much have just ordered.
I wouldn't use one.
(a) they are not legal for on road use in the UK (or Europe). The seat belt buckle must be positioned on your hip and not across your stomach (which is where the proper buckle would be if you use such an extention).
(b) if you saw the injury a seat belt buckle would do to you if positioned over your stomach (or anywhere else other than on your hip), in the unfortunate event of an accident, neither would you.
I would suggest you see your doctor if you have difficulty fitting into a standard seat belt.
Edit: this type of extention may be suitable (i.e. where it extends the belt from the floor mounting)

But again caution should be used and expert advice sought (and that doesn't mean from an internet forum)
The issue I foresee is that if you are that size that you need such an extention, then the buckle may still not sit on your hip but actually too far below your hip if you need/fit the extention"Now to trolling as a concept. .... Personally, I've always found it a little sad that people choose to spend such a large proportion of their lives in this way but they do, and we have to deal with it." - MSE Forum Manager 6th July 20100 -
I'm not "shouting obese" or making fun of anyone. I'm pointing out that if you find you're struggling to fit into a standard seatbelt, it is time to think about the reasons why, and do something about it.I would suggest you see your doctor if you have difficulty fitting into a standard seat belt.
Indeed. Very nicely worded.0 -
Its not only if you are fat though, if you are vertically challenged some seatbelts are a pain, especially on older cars. You see the further forward your seat is extended the further away you are from the anchor point. My car seat is as forward as the base allows for travel, that means however I have lost a good 14" before it even reachs the seat without straping me in.0

Yes, but the OP has already said the problem is due to being larger than normal.0

Very true but as her username starts mum could she be larger than normal because she is expecting? Yet everyone thought 'fat'
I was just adding an opinion that if someone doesn't fit a seat belt its not always because they are fat its a multitude of things. 0 -
Could be pregnant and not fat??
On this subject. My rear seatbelts are too short to go around a baby car seat. I can get my seat in just about with a click in base but my friend's baby seat is just too big so we can't go anywhere. Anyone know of any solutions? It's only a bargain if you need it.0
