I have a PC with a wired ethernet cable internet connection and a USB wifi dongle which i know is usually used to receive internet from a wireless router. I would like to use it to transmit the internet connection from the wired internet PC - wirelessly so that I can use my iPhone. I have seen a product out there that can…

So i got one step closer by going into network connections and highlighting both wired and wireless connections, then right clicking and selecting "bridge connections"

the wifi symbol now appears in the top bar on my iphone like it should but there doesn't seem to be any internet activity
