Can you double-click on the network you created in the "Available wireless networks" list and connect to it? It will probably ask you to type in the 13 character key you created.0

Yes I can - shall i try to connect?
and yes the password / key is already there0 -
Yeah try that as the screenshot in the instructions shows their one as being connected on their machine:showing the newly created wireless network and your computer connected to it, but as a transmitter, as a HotSpot.0

yes! that worked!! my iPhone can now see and connect to it apparently.......
but in the top bar on my iphone it doesnt show it as connected - it only shows it as connected with a tick next to the network in my settings...
so the internet on my iphone isnt working0 -
Found this from another page:Configure the iPhone
On the iPhone select the network "MyNet" which should appear on the list of available wireless networks. Display the properties page using right arrow button on the right side of the network name. On your laptop, the Available Wireless Connections should show the "MyNet" state change to "Connected".
On the iPhone, select the DHCP tab and press the "Renew Lease" button near the bottom of the page. After a few seconds, you will see all the IP information.
At this point you should be connected!
In your case "NyNet" will be the name of the network you created0 -
Ok so I basically did that - the difference I had was:
When I pressed the blue right arrow button next to the network it didn't say connected straight away - so I toggled "Auto-Join" to "On" and then it said connected on the PC.
Then I renewed the lease but no IP information has appeared and my iPhone is still trying to use the mobile internet / is not showing as connected to the Wifi0 -
Anyone done this before that can help please?0

this morning when i connected it, it now shows the ip address and subnet mask in my iphone settings but the wifi symbol doesnt show up in the top bar of my iphone0

Haven't got an iPhone I'm afraid so I can't offer much in the way of troubleshooting that0
