The stress that vanishes once you have paid them all off fully is priceless. Granted which is why I would never go there again!
This is also easier said then done in some respects once your head has been messed with and when it did nearly cost me my job!

Just make sure they're all paid off fully, delete their details from your mobile / email etc and take it as a lesson learnt. The more you're still thinking about them even in terms of asking them to reclaim money the more likely it is you'll be tempted to take out another loan from them. ? errr sorry Johntea don't think so ! how does that work out?
I actually found the honest, hard worked for cash to persue one of mine that caused the most difficultly through living the lifestyle that will keep me away from PDL's in future!! (it's worked for the past 6 months because in a twist I really do believe we have choices) and god I'm going to do everything within my bones to not do what I was nearly pushed into

I speak from my own experience of being £6k in debt over them.

With respect and correct me if I'm wrong but you made it clear you'd had help from parents in initially paying back this large sum - some poor souls don't which is why their money is sooo important to them and not paying over the top where it can be avoided, after all we have to sit through posts when people go on about how they don't get the interest lowered (and how wrong that is...) because their trying to pay back earlier specifically on payday loans!

Well i think this post has certainly gone off topic! Didn't mean to offend anyone was just asking a reasonable question, just to reiterate I have already paid of these loans and would never go back to them.
I did understand the intrest rates and charges when i applied, as I did when i took out a bank account. I still managed to claim back from the bank.
These companies make enough money from people who are in difficult sitiuations (and I am not blaming anyone except myself for that) however why not try to make some money back from stupid mistakes you made in the past. I think most of us wouldn't be on this forum if we hadn't made a stupid mistake or took out a loan that was 100% necessary.
At the end of the day it is a moneysaving forum and that is all I was trying to do.

To be fair you weren't trying to save money, you were trying to claim money back. There is a difference.

Thats the problem there. YOU made the mistake, the best thing to do is learn from it and move on.

I think the point of this thread has been totally taken out of preportion. I KNOW it was my mistake I am not arguing that fact. So much for a helpful forum that does not judge eh! Lets just leave it at that, thanks for the advice.

You weren't being judged, not by me anyway. I just don't agree with you. What you were asking was, hey, I knew what i was signing up for, I messed up but now i want to try my luck and shout 'unfair' and claw some money back when you know as well as me you're not entitled to any.

at the end of the day, they still need repaying. I'm really getting sick of all these people who think they have a right to take credit but not to pay it back.

    Au contraire..

Wonga.Com is an illegitimate operation. In many states of the USA its directors would be jailed under Anti-Usury laws.

Anyone who refuses to repay wonga.com deserves applause for his high principles.

If you had "high principles" and considered wonga.com an "illegitimate operation", then wouldn't you avoid them in the first place?

Or if you were just trying to rip them off, wouldn't you have an arrest warrant in your name (or a CCJ or whatever)...?
