So if someone writes in a contract that - "if you are a minute late in making payment then we will chop your leg off" and you sign it then it's acceptable?0 -
Takes me back to my O levels - Merchant of Venice. Pound of flesh anyone ?0

By the time people post here there are already painfully aware of the hard truth and dont need self rightous people rubbing more salt into the wounds.
What do you suggest then? We all lie to them? If they already know the truth then why is it self righteous for us to....well......confirm what they already know?
Maybe you should think about what you've typed before you hit submit?0 -
What responses are you referring to? The ones that smack the hard truth?
You are right. People blame these payday loan companies as soon as they cannot afford to pay it back. I can speak from experience because i've been there, but not once did I blame Wonga for leaving me short every month - that was my fault.
I took out the loan knowing fine well when it was due to be paid. The majority of times you can call them up and they will set up some sort of repayment plan. But you need to call them early. Cancelling your card or changing banks is not a good idea because at the end of the day, they still need repaying.
I'm really getting sick of all these people who think they have a right to take credit but not to pay it back. As mentioned above, Payday loans have their uses, but only if used correctly.0
