Pathetic another landowner or their agents inviting scammers in, you can only access the car park with a key fob, only residents can access it, what kind of abuse are they supposedly protecting here? An utter joke!
The thing to do is ignore them, clearly if they wanted to pursue this it will be deemed a punishment in other words a penalty for not showing a permit, there is no loss here, a court will be dismissing this as a spurious attempt to swindle money off someone when they have no legal right to do so.
By the way do they threaten to clamp on their clear signage ?Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?0 -
Thanks for the reply,
My flat is privately rented through Dandara, so unfortunately do not know the landlord. The management company employed by Dandara for the building is Clearwater and Care Parking are the parking enforcers. The car park is underneath the building, you need a fob to open the gates to get into it. The rental agreement includes the parking space in which the 'offence' occurred, at a cost of £70 a month. I have just had a quick check and one of the T&C's is to comply with any parking regulations in the building, which we didn't as we didn't have a permit for my girlfriend, which as I've said is not something I can easily do.
Once again thanks for your advice
Find another owner-occupier who can show you a lease.

Im not sure how many of you are aware of those but after doing some research I have found that care parking is owned by a company called Anchor security who run the CCTV cameras around One Stop shopping centre where they sent me a bogus parking charge notice a few months back when I was briefly parked in a bus lane! So they are actually trying to extort money from me by enforcing an of fence that was on a PUBLIC highway lol just had a nice 'solicitors' letter after ignoring the previous 2… should make nice paper for the bottom of my birds cage lol
But yea, huge scam. Seems as they have access to CCTV because they are contracted to manage them they think they can churn out bogus fines and harass people into paying! They should be sued for harassment and extortion.0 -
I would take it to the council, private parking companies cannot issue tickets on public land full stop unless they are actually acting for the council. It's in fact illegal of them and it was an instance on here where a private parking company was issuing invoices on a public road and exposed by one of the peeps on here, it was picked up by the press and the brown stuff hit the fan for the parking company.Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?

As with every single other thread about a PPC the advice is still the same - just ignore them.

do not ignore a fake pcn, the advice changed in early 2013 and you can now win at POPLA or other independent appeal. Read the sticky threads because you need to learn what will win at appeal. Mitigating circumstances (normal appeals) will lose.
SO WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR? SEE MY SIGNATURE FOR WHERE TO CLICK ONE CLICK TO GET TO PAGE ONE. READ THE STICKY THREADS AT THE TOP (ADVICE & INFO FOR YOU TO WIN AT APPEAL).PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I've recently received a parking "ticket" at Cheshire Oaks even though I spoke to the guy who issued it to explain that I had left my mums blue badge in my other car but needed to park in a disabled bay as it was impossible to get her in and out of the wheelchair with her oxygen tanks as well in a normal sized bay. He even said he would "write on my paperwork that i've seen the disabled lady". But still wouldn't make the ticket invalid there and then. After reading a lot of these threads I am going to ignore any letters I get, so thanks to all of you as we can't afford the £100 fee.0
