Finally sorted out sky and have reduced my package by £60/yr. :)

Could have reduced it the same again, but that's my compromise!

Bought the 9p baby shampoo, but it really dried out my hair, thought no loss and went to put the bottle beside the various other bottles of shampoo that were no good (too static/ not clean enough feeling / too limp, etc) which I use to shave my legs. Moment of mse genius when I mixed the 9p dry with some elvive one which didn't work in my fussy hair,...... It's perfect! :j

Nothing wasted :D and saves me having to buy expensive shampoo yay!!

Definately been a bit overzealous with the OP and regular saver commitments, I have £30 to last me 3weeks. Eeek!

Will need to be quite inventive!

Good luck with that - you can do it!

Thank you slowlyfading - I need all the help I can get - I'm so good with rewarding myself with the little things but they fairly add up.

who'd have thought it would be a struggle to get all the laundry dry in the middle of JULY! I've got clothes drying everywhere, but there's no drying (mainly because I'm refusing to put on the central heating).

Seemingly theres only been a few hours of sunshine around here for the whole of july. I've worn my wellies to walk to work for over a week :)

On the plus side, I've been forced to eat my packed lunch all week cos its been so miserable it wasnt worth nipping out for anything nicer / to supplement it!

So i still have £30 and now have 19 days til payday! :T

Oh forgot to say last week I did a virtual grocery shop online at lunchtime, got to a few quid below the £50 target (money off coupon + petrol voucher) and printed off the list.

went into the supermarket armed with my list and ended up spending £92  Shame theres no smiley for bursting out in tears!

I actually wished I could put somethings back. But I need to learn my lesson...I just cannot not spend loads when I go food shopping. I'm just so disappointed with myself :(

Dunno what to do. :( Except not go shopping this week and make do with what I bought, although I doubt even for that price, I got 2 weeks food :(

It's way too easy to do, I'm guilty of exactly the same thing!

Have you tried taking cash, and only the amount you need? It can be a little embarrassing if you do overspend, but it's the only way to ensure you don't go over budget.

Thanks beckyy, I tried loading up a gift voucher (get 5% off that way) but still took my card just in case! Maybe the only way I can learn is to have no back- up. That way hopefully the fear of not having enough money will stop me chucking in things!

Also considered getting it delivered online, but had previously thought that the delivery charge was a waste of money, but a £4 surcharge on a £50 shop has to better than an 85% overspend!

In case anyone is interested Love film are offering up to 15% off if you pay in advance rather than monthly PLUS a £15 amazon voucher.

We signed up for 10% off 6months in advance so a saving of £6 + £15 amazon voucher :j there are 3 or 12 month options too.

Away to update my spreadsheets :D

Well another advantage of signing up for 6months of lovefilm is that I cancelled my sky movies :) Even though I finally got an offer through of a half price movies, it was our intention to cancel lovefilm - but after having a chat with OH we realised Sky didnt offer much we'd not already seen via lovefilm! So another £8/month saved :)

I have opened up a First Direct everyday esaver - anyone know if this means I wont get charged the £10 fee if I dont transfer the £1500?

    Thanks in advance :)
