Had a productive day, have cleared out and reorganised the kitchen cupboards, putting all nearly our of date things on the unit for using up. Any idea on what to do with 3 jars of cranberry sauce in 3 weeks? We're not having that much people on Christmas Day!
Also cleaned/scrubbed my oven and all my roasting trays in preparation for the big day too!
Would you believe the above took 3.5hrs?! Ive cleaned so juch it doesnt feel like i have any fingerprints left! :rotfl:
Kitchen ready (must not use this as an excuse not to cook!!) now just need to Hoover and dust the hall, living and dining room ready for the Christmas decorations. :xmastree:Mortgage debt : -£17,000

i just overpaid £3 because it was annoying me that our yearly overpayment in my signature was £5047 when £5050 is such a better number!
Done on my mobiles banking app in seconds as well...... Could get addictive!
Now I'm looking at my mortgage total and it wouldn't take much more to make that a nice number
It's like mortgage topiary :rotfl:Mortgage debt : -£17,000

Thanks MRN, I became chartered a while back, but in the middle of a recession it didn't make much difference to salary/ position other than letters after your name. Unfortunately letters dont pay the bills! Since then its been a case of keeping my head down and ploughing on, especially with constant rounds of redundancy going on around me. I just viewed everything as experience, built up my cv and focused on professional development. Am so glad its paid off.....am just waiting on OH coming home so I can celebrate, as its not yet been formally announced at work yet.
Anyways, I only have 3 working days left, then off for the Christmas breakMortgage debt : -£17,000

woohoo final bill issued from eon with £68 credit winging its way to me :j Just in time for avoiding Eon's price increases! Made all the hassle worthwhile................erm I'll get back to you in that! I'm still going through it with EDF! lolMortgage debt : -£17,000

Finally got the Christmas tree up, house almost all decorated, just the garland to attach to the bannister. But thats a two man job. Don't know what's up with me, just wasn't feeling it this year, felt like more like a chore rather than fun
Can't wait til OH is done with work and we are both home for the holidays. We are both just utterly drained with work, and haven't had a break since June. Roll on Wednesday !!!!Mortgage debt : -£17,000

Finally on holiday! Having a very much deserved lazy day
And that's not the best news- we have a new (to us) car. It's 5yrs old, pristine and very well looked after and will keep us going for years and years. :j we are now a 2 car family and although the running costs will obviously increase, I think the benefit and convenience will be worth it.
Luckily OHs overtime has paid for the upfront costs, car insurance, etc so hasn't impacted the finance too much, though I think I'll set up an account for running and maintaining the two cars.
Also utilities are all sorted out, now fully on edf and eon are refunding nearly £70 creditgot a 'sorry you're leaving us, can you tell us why' letter the same day as the letter from eon saying prices were increasing 10%. Seriously considering sending their own letter back to them as a reason! :rotfl:

Ironic and yet not surprising! When will the energy suppliers learn it's less about customer service and more about cost?!MFW: Nov 2008 £156k, Jun 2015 £129k, Jun 2017 £114k.0 -

Pretty pleased with our first year of MFW. Reduced the mortgage by £11,000 :j we have grown accustom to the regular OP, now I want to focus on additional ad hoc OPs to hit the mortgage even harder!!!!
Hoping we've got the big things sorted now and are now in the swing of things, so can start on the little things that make a big difference.
Just done a check on the finances and in the new year i will review our outgoings again, just to make sure.
Maybe 2013 is the year I'll sort out the wedding phobia too :rotfl:Mortgage debt : -£17,000
