Equifax Have Not Removed IVA from my File

I'm still waiting for Experian to remove the IVA from the Public Record Info. They sent me an automatic email when I submitted the dispute saying they aim to resolve disputes within 2 weeks. 2 weeks is up on Monday and I'm chomping at the bit. I know I should be patient (people keep telling me and they do have up to 28 days) but I can't! The house I am interested in buying is going to be released for sale imminently and I need to speak to the mortgage broker the second all 3 files are clear. I wouldn't mind but I sent Experian a copy of my completion cert a year ago. Surely it's just the click of a button for them!!!
Hi Vicki, well all I can do is confirm what you've been told (sorry!) - I sent them my IVA stuff last Friday and I'm still waiting - again, affecting my mortgage opportunities as the other two CRAs acted quickly - but they will get to it - they're just slow or more accurately, they don't take individual circumstances into account, even though this is clearly their mistake...you take a ticket and wait your turn as far as EX are concerned..
As far as an apology from Experian goes, you'll get "we have 28 days and yes we made a mistake but we're the number one trusted credit reference agency on the planet and always side with the credit industry, in fact we share the same bed. Because you're a consumer we cannot help any further or be held liable for the lies we sell."
Experian, in my experience =
I really hope you get this sorted in time to deal with your broker..Never argue with an idiot. Especially not this idiot because I'm always right anyway.0 -
Well, all files are green at last - Experian finally went clear today.
So, I applied for Tesco and got declined straight away. Nationwide quoted through their soft search a limit of £4500 at 15.9% - so fingers crossed. If that fails, I'll give Sygma a go and maybe Metro Bank when in London next week (I already have an account with them and they search Equifax where I only have one search in the last 12 months).
I think I'm all out of Experian searches for the moment!Never argue with an idiot. Especially not this idiot because I'm always right anyway.0 -
Hi giblet. That's fab news! Fingers crossed for you. I am still waiting for experian to respond to me and it's over the two weeks now so looks like I will have to wait the 28 days. That's assuming they haven't somehow managed to "misplace" my email! That'd be my luck. Some people have said that it may of dropped off my file anyway by now but how many £2's do I wanna spend keep checking over and over again. I didn't do the sign up thing cos whenever I do things like that I have problems trying to cancel the subscription and end up worse off lol0

I got Flybe with no problem, automatic answer £5k limit. Then pushed my luck and tried Nationwide - £4.5k limit.
That's really good - I'm hoping for the same - Nationwide was referred and waiting to hear now - they seem good with limits as yours is same as what the soft search offered me (at 15.9%)..I'm going to try Flybe on Monday after my trip to Metro Bank to see what they can do..
You're my hope that I will get back into mainstream! Will let you know what happens..Never argue with an idiot. Especially not this idiot because I'm always right anyway.0 -

Giblet,
If your files are green you should have no probs with them.....if you get nationwide or flybe, you can also try Smile (which is the online bank/cc of co-op bank). I got that too - 5k on a gold card!!! Then simply use them to rebuild a nice history.
Flybe is also goos as it earns you points towards flights. I just booked my hols on it and then paid it straight off, now halfway toawards a (tax only!) free flight.
The order I applied for (all in the same week) was
1) Flybe
2) Nationwide
3) Smile0 -

Oh darlyn - now I'm foaming at the mouth with your teasing!! :rotfl:Never argue with an idiot. Especially not this idiot because I'm always right anyway.0 -
Well, went to Metro Bank tonight to see what they could offer, and:
- they said YES to the credit card
- they said YES to the full bank account
- they said YES to match my current overdraft
I'm happy with that!Never argue with an idiot. Especially not this idiot because I'm always right anyway.0 -
Ah well done thats fab news! Looks like things are finally going in the right direction for you! As far as my mortgage is concerned I can't do anything until the house Im interested in is released for sale. Then they will credit check us. So until then I'm a bag of nerves panicing that it will all go belly up, I wont be able to rent either and still be living with my mam when i'm 50! lol. Actually I think there's a niche in the market here. If I was a billionaire I would start a credit compny for ex IVA-ers. I know people say we must all be a danger and havent a clue what we are doing with money but I think once you have been down the IVA route, we are actually a safer bet than most as I know I will most definitely not be going that way again!0
