  • Ems, a things I've found:
    1. Brandname stuff definitely goes, especially if you bundle it together. I had a quite a few L'Occitane travel products, I split them off into groups of 4 and had mutiple watchers and bids. Search for the brands you have to see if items are out there with bids. Just don't get tempted along the way. :D

    2. For stuff that you don't think will go well (if single items are out there without bids), then try to bundle that together, some people will see it as a bargain then. For example, I sold 6 pairs of those airline socks that you get free on the airplane. Someone purchased and left me lovely feedback.

Just a tip, pay attention to your postal costs as that is now factored into the ebay fees. I find it no longer worth it for .99 p items the way it used to be. I only do sales on free listing weekends, when I can start things off at 3 or 4 pounds.

Thanks very much for the useful advice, much appreciated, will give it a whirl :T Has anyone any idea whether a free listings weekend is due any time soon?

"Can I gently remind the lovely ladies buying all the various beauty boxes that this is a no more toiletries thread"

Sorry Mum!!! (goes to naughty step)
On a serious but off topic moment, the labels people I am pretty sure were this website http://wovenlabelsuk.com/Craft-and-Hobby-Labels.html but sadly dont seem to have the humorous picture on the webbie =)

    A UU ---

L'oocitane Rose 4 Reines hand cream... now I would have told you before that I love the smell of Rose, but I have decided I dont like it plastered all over my hands all the time lol! The cream is lovely but next time I will get something unscented/less perfumy.

  • :wave:Ems! Thank you for the welcome :)

Adela - I bet the alpaca throw and scarf are beautiful :) I'm holding out from ordering anything at the moment, mainly because I can't decide which is my favourite! Love the idea of the craft labels:rotfl:

:wave:Anni! I hope that you're as well as possible today :) I have lots of make up as well (I have a weakness for Urban Decay eyeliners and shadows). I will never be able to use it all up  Do you watch Lisa Eldridge's make up videos? She's great :)
Also, your Sky win was incredible! :j

:T:T Scrappie and Zoe for your make up breakthroughs:T:T

Well done for resisting the BS offer, Asset. I think that it ends on Monday so we're nearly there ;)

Kaz - you're right about how lovely this community is. I'm reading back through the threads and have been touched by how supportive and kind everyone is :D

(((Sarah*a))) I'm sorry to hear that you are another M.E.er :(
On a happier note, thank you for the welcome :D

Evilsquid - congrats on your first make up UU

  • IN Estee Lauder BB Cream sample - excited about this!

Some more used up, all small but it's a start ;) I've collected all my sachets up. Some are very old  (I'm putting 10p in the pot for each sachet/small sample)

UU6 Monu Soothing Touch Recovery Balm (5ml) - thought this was lovely
UU7 Dermologica AgeSmart Renewal Lip Complex (1ml) - lovely but crazily expensive so WNB
    UU8 L’Oreal De-Maq Expert (7ml) - didn't find this very effective & thought it was drying
UU9 Thalgo Extreme Comfort Cream (sachet) - too rich for my combo skin
UU10 Clarins Daily Energizer Cream (sachet) - perfectly nice but WNB
UU11 Clinique Repairwear Laser Focus (sachet) - too small a sample to tell if it does anything!

You girls talking about your ME and depression makes me realise why we all stay on this thread. It has such a lovely community feeling where we can talk about almost anything.

Just a short note--I only wear makeup on special going out nights and I have no idea about beauty boxes (and I shall not be tempted ;)), so in theory I shouldn't be following this thread as I probably miss 50% of the value, but it remains one of my favourite MSE ones due to the community feeling, as Kaz so nicely summed up. :T
