  • good morning ladies.
cant find my notebook but think i am around no50 for uu:kleenex eye makeup remover wipes-would not buy again. Bought these because they were quite cheap-they took stuff off but i dont think they took everything off .

When it comes to picking something to use up i have been trying to go with things i have already started-saying that i have just done a new stash list so i have a bag of samples i want to work on next. With bodywash i have boring ones and nice ones so i normally rotate-will use a boring one first then when thats finished go onto one that i want to use.

One OUT for me last night - Clarins Beauty Flash Balm. WBA but only if it came in a pot rather than a tube, as it didn't seem to last very long at first but then when I cut the tube open there was loads left in it. However it then went a bit 'weird' and almost seemed to rub off a bit on my face. That said though it has helped my make-up stay on longer and it is quite a nice texture, just the packaging design doesn't work! Especially considering that it's quite expensive.

I've got to go to town later as I'm almost out of shampoo, so I'll have a look to see what I can find as a replacement...

    I have a UU!!
SD Nail Polish Remover Acetone version: WIBA? Maybe, sometimes it didn't feel that effective, but could be the type of cotton wool. Now onto its replacement, SD Acetone Free. I only buy remover when running low, so thankfully I have no more stashed!

I wasn't a fan of the SD remover, I stick to Cutex when it's on offer as I find it's much more effective. Did your remover really stink as well?

I usually used Cutex, then used a SD one which was really good, but can't remember which variety it was. A bit blocked but just sniffed it & yes it's pretty stinky :-P A really strong remover smell.

Going to the shops with my Dad. Also going to hunt out some shampoo/conditioner. I'll try to stay away from anything else!! Though having a down day, will try to restrict the retail therapy to non-toiletries :D

Oh my goodness. I'm so pleased that I found this community but I'm also a little nervous about signing up. I haven't started on my stash list yet (so daunting!) but I thought that if I don't sign up NOW I will keep putting it off, so here I am.

How do people choose what to start using up? I'm torn between tackling old, less exciting stuff (practical) or using up what I really love (the marvellous PRCP). Help! Lovely to meet you all :)

Welcome - you are in good company here! It is helping me to stop buying things I don't need but is also tempting me to try new things (for example, I am waiting for my Neom candles to arrive :o after reading about those lucky forumites who received one in their Amarya Beauty Box - still, have justified this in that they are not technically a beauty product so wouldn't get added to my stash list ;))

I like to mix and match my products - using some older ones but also adding in some new ones - that way I don't get bored. My stash list is colour coded by year so I know what my oldies are that need using up. This year I am going to make a concerted effort to UU my older stuff whilst keeping an eye on the newer stuff to make sure it does't go off.

No UU so far today but several splutterers so should have some soon. (Have cut my LE foot cream open today so that should get finished soon although there is quite a lot of product lurking in the tube).

Welcome Willowbee! I would definitely say use up any products you love that you've had a while, well I would, it's PRCP after all! But also think of how you will feel binning it if it went off - and stuff DOES go off -and then think of how you would feel binning one of the boring products if it went off. A nuisance, but it wouldn't upset you.
I've still got gifts from 2010 to open - just moisturiser, not gift sets - but the most expensive one is being opened next.

Re the test products Sawan, mine have been so good, mostly, that I've used them all up. I'm still using up October's test moisturisers, wow, they have lasted.

Trudi glad it all went OK for you in collecting the FB friend. I hope karma comes up with a good one for you with that one and I'm not tempting fate with that statement. What an awful thing to happen to him- and I'm sure it happens a lot - to get to the yard and find the job didn't exist, having gone the length of the country. With a dog.

  • Hi i've got a UU - Clinique High Impact Mascara - was a GWP and i've loved it as it's easy to apply and stays on until you take it off. I hate mascaras that end up down your face either with smudges or flakes - some of the expensive ones are just as bad for this. No need to buy anymore mascara tho as I have 3 in my stash, all Clinique :) and GWPs!

Went to see the best exotic marigold hotel this morning so ended up popping into asda on the way home. Big mistake. What was meant to be a pint of milk and some egg noodles for tonight (yum!) ended up as a £27 shop:eek: I have some ins:(:

mitchum antiperspirant- My can of sure is feeling pretty light and this was on offer for £1 so I bought it. Completely necessary, honest!:D

John Frieda spiral spray gel on offer for £4. - The toni & guy heat defence in my stash is close to empty (though I do have dregs of a travel sized john frieda still to use up..) and as it has been discontinued (gutted as this was a HG) I thought I'd find a replacement.

but of course I can't choose something and walk away and spotted asda essentials heat defence spray for only £2. This will be counted as unnecessary

I will use up the 2 I have in stash before starting these.

and some ins from a friend as a very belated birthday present:

    S&G flakeaway mini
    righteous butter mini
    hair supply mini
    full size daily smooth
and another x2 flakeaway minis because she doesn't like them. It seems you lot aren't the only ones:rotfl:

I won't count the flakeaways as I have no scrub in the stash and was thinking of buying one anyway.

    and finally, a UU:j:
mitchum stick-WNBA- didn't think this worked as well as sure but have bought the spray to try out as I know it's a HG for many of you here. Also, I went through it pretty quickly and couldn't get the last of it out as it was pretty impossible so wasted about 1/5:(

  • Hi all!

1 UU: Herbal Essences smooth and soft conditioner 400ml- WIBA? I really hate lining P&G's pockets, but this is a good conditioner, leaves my hair lovely and soft. I have one more in the stash though.

    OUTs:
Elf tinted moisturiser: This was just too pale for me, even with my Scottish tan :rotfl: Ohh how I tried and tried to finish this, but decided to give up in the end.
Johnson's holiday skin moisturiser: Haven't used this in years, so out it goes.
Maybelline mousse blush in dolly pink: again, i've had this for at least five years i'd say, so its a bit too old for my liking.
Now off to ebay a few items.

    Have a good evening all.
